Tried it in two browsers (Firefox and Edge). Only got a black space where the video is, and other parts of the site are also nonfunctional.
I disabled uBlock Origin, and everything started working fine, but then of course, the ads started appearing.

Luckily, if you update uBlock Origin to version 1.67.0, it fixes things. You may have to remove and reinstall it, since it says that it's up-to-date despite being version 1.66.4.

idk why they call it plus cus its free, but i've been using it for years and have never seen an ad on youtube. ublock origin sucks, the short time I used it i'd either get ads on occasion or things wouldn't load.

idk. adblock plus is like the "under the radar" one so dont tell your friends about it cus I don't want it getting ruined for me.

if youtube had not gotten so greedy with ads and kept forcing more and more ads on youtubers

i dont think they would be having this problem of people using ad blockers

as most people where fine with 1 ad every 30ish min in a video

Adblock plus is most definitely not under the radar. It used to be the main player until they started whitelisting certain ads for money.
The commercial says that Church isn't for perfect people, I guess that's why I'm an atheist.

Every now and then it'll take a few seconds of black loading in the player. It eventually kicks in. Be patient! ;)

Yeah it wasn't working for me either, couldn't even load the left side with your subs/history/etc. Updated firefox and it seemed to do the trick

I've got a current tab open, and it's working all good. If I open youtube in a new tab I get a black screen for two seconds before going away and loading fine.

uBlock Origin didn't work for me for some reason.
Time is a funny thing, you know? I guess in the big picture of my life, you were only a blip. But oftentimes, those "blips" make the biggest impacts.

I've noticed the delay before a video starts and the "experiencing interruptions?" pop up in the bottom corner lately. I run uBlock Lite on optimal.

Twitch always seems to be pretty good at staying ahead of the ad blockers. Occasionally I'll find that uBlock will stop them for a day or two, then they'll be right back to the ads making it through.

It still works for me, but sometimes there's a delay between clicking on the video, and said video actually loading up

still, faster than having to sit through ads

TTV LOL PRO and Purple AdBlock from that list are the only ones that have worked for me. Although, Twitch is always updating their anti-adblock, so you'll often have to switch between these extensions in order to get a working solution, in my experience.

Ditch adblock plus imo, having two might have them conflict with each other. As mentioned, you just needed to update the filters, which in my case firefox did for me

There is an update for uBlock that didn't show for me on firefox. Uninstalling and reinstalling uBlock fixed it.

Yeah, I tested with the same combination of YouTube and uBlock and it works fine.

I've used that one for years and years, even as everyone else called for Ublock Origin. The only hiccup I've ever seen with Youtube is if you leave a tab open and unattended for a long and then play a video it might play an ad, but refreshing the page fixes that.

Videos work for me, but they always take like, 5-10 seconds to actually load when I have Adblocker up. Dunno if anyone has anything similar.

Just got home and tried a few videos. All are working for me. Didn't even get a 5 sec "Experiencing disruptions?" delay.

Chrome with Ublock Origin Lite.

I use Adblock and Chrome. Some videos have a delay of a few seconds, some start immediately. It happens every once in a while when Youtube updates, but usually Adblock gets updated shortly after, so I expect it will be fixed soon enough.

wait...so people don't use multiple? i've used adblock plus for like 15 years or whenever it was first getting known. then i've used ublock origin for like a decade. also have the standard adblock on here which is most likely redundant but never felt the need to remove it. still not getting any ads on edge.

There's no real benefit to using multiple, and quite a few potential downsides in the event that they conflict with each other.

Im using Brave browser on mobile and it's playing videos just fine.

It was being a little fucky by not playing videos in background earlier but it seems to be working again now.

It happened to me but I just reset Firefox and it came back fine. I only use uBlock Origin.
