ready to visit againI wouldn't recommend it.
I wouldn't recommend it.
No sarcasm, no joke, do not come here.
nah keep the boycott upThis. Seriously. Don't stop.
I'm not going to post a strongly worded statement as the others but I will say:I had plans to travel to the US for the World Cup.
1. An individual can help more by boycotting than not.
2. The USA is not a safe place to visit right now. It's not even safe for half the people who live here. If you do visit, understand that you are in serious danger at all times and should conduct whatever business you have here and leave ASAP.
While I wish there was more international people could do to help, the best thing in general would be to avoid America both economically and geographically as much as possible until America sorts this shit out.
I had plans to travel to the US for the World Cup.
I wouldn't go if you paid me now.
Thank you for the input.I don't think you realize how many of the people being hurt the most by all this voted for precisely this.
I just want to do something for those of you who are struggling - like a small business, or a young family. Nothing grand scale, just something that says "I know this wasn't your choice."
Thank you for the input.Donate money to American food banks is my best suggestion here. We're potentially having a SNAP crisis soon. SNAP provides 90% of the food to struggling families and Food banks give 10%. Anything you can give to food banks can't possibly be enough to make up for the difference left behind by SNAP but it will help and it will affect an area that is most vulnerable.

I'm not going rah-rah U.S.A. by any means, but I realize that people who didn't ask for it are genuinely suffering in the States - losing jobs, can't afford even the most basic provisions, hiding from ICE and bigoted assholes. And they didn't ask for it. They voted Harris, but are stuck because too many slack-jawed yokels 3000 miles away were completely hoodwinked. It comes down to punishing everyone for the acts of a select few, and as we all know in a work environment, you ALWAYS punish the select few, and not the entire workforce... at least that's the way it should be.
Anyways, I'm ready to help, ready to visit again, and willing to help in the ways that I can. What are some of the things that I can do to help individuals in blue states to help get you through tough times?
