There were issues, but it wasn't like this. They were stubborn assholes, but a lot of good stuff got passed through them. There's a big difference between "how good can we make this bill" versus "will healthcare subsidies still be paid?"

Manchin actually lied to McConnell at one point that he didn't support the infrastructure bill so McConnell would let the GOP vote for it on the floor. Manchin switched his vote to a yes and the bill passed

We agree, and those shit Dems who caved need to be primaried.

The latter part of your post is the opposite of what I said. You should be angry at the ones who caved is literally what I said.

Because people like you disingenuous rally people to "both sides bad so why bother vote." Your literal disingenuous argument as we speak is to blame and rally around the entire party dropped the ball instead of rallying behind the actual less than 10 who need to be removed for dropping the ball.

People like you rally others to not vote or pushing then to go 3rd party.
I dunno dude, it feels like an unimportant distinction to me. The party is in trouble, this isn't even the first time this happened this year. I said some harsh things after the election because I was angry but you seem to be grinding some weird axe against me.

This was the removal of a minimum wage increase from the IRA/Build Back Better, yeah. Sinema owns that.

Oh yeah I'm not trying to say they're exactly the same but that there is a trend of there being just enough Democrats to flip on a vote the party supports to keep it from going through. But back then was smaller potatoes compared to now.

I voted in WA state for the last two decades (I haven't lived there in almost a decade, but my registration is still there), so obviously none of those. But establishment Dems selling us out isn't some new thing that only happened this one time.

Its an important distinction because theres a vast difference between specific Democrats caving and fucking people over, and claiming the entire party caved.... which is not actually true.

The former is specific, the latter disingenuously generalizes to perpetuate the "both sides bad, why bother vote/we should go 3rd party" problem. The former says we need to hold specific problematic Democrats accountable for fucking up.

Here lies why I say your disingenuous.
Reread what you actually asked.

The distinction is literally focus on the 7, not disingenuously claim its the entire party like you are doing.

Focus on the Democrats who cave. Not disingenuously rally a false narrative that the entire party caved.

Its not a scooby doo mystery why Im replying to someone who is actively deciding to reply to me.
I never said not to blame the 7, not sure why you keep saying I did, but that this if a bigger problem with the party as a whole.

Which everyone but you seems to understand.

Buy you got some issue with me specifically.

I'm going to be honest, I'm not sure that there is much point in this argument. This is a bigger issue than these 7. That's the end of the story.

I'll leave you to your posts about the 7.

This is a failure of every Democrat in the senate. That they couldnt keep their people in line, that the leadership they chose failed.

Schumer has long since showed his ass so if they had put someone in charge who actually gives a fuck long ago maybe this would have gone differently

senate dems and by extension the entire party owns this

Government workers weren't getting paid and Republicans don't care. Dems had to consider them in this political calculus. Calling it a failure is a bit much.

I really don't want to get into a thing so I'll say this and leave it, asdf if I recall has pointed out that I spend more time criticizing the Dems than Republicans. I find that he spends more time arguing with leftists and playing defense for the Dems than criticizing Republicans or holding Dems accountable. Though on both cases a lot of it is just responding back to people.

If this is all a misunderstanding than cool, I'm not trying to be confrontational on here now

I'm not even thinking about the midterms at the moment. I'm just baffled and honestly feel like a moron for having faith in the Dems for once.

If it's any consolation, the Democrats think we're all morons too.

Remember in that other topic where I said I Dems learned nothing? I genuinely feel like I'm living in an episode of the twilight zone.

And of course, you have some people on CE defending the vote. Centrism is anti-democratic.

(THEY/THEM)
If the Democratic party and its leadership doesn't come out on television and shame those 8 Senators, then I don't expect the voters to. It will just signal that the party wanted the vote to go this way. The general public is way too busy fighting to survive to focus on the details. It was the failure of the minority leader to whip his caucus. It was the failure of the minority leader to allow a vote when he knew it would pass.

They had the public on their side in this battle, they had Trump cornered, and then they decided to take the blame for all of it while bailing Trump out.
