Only played Persona 5 but it's really good so I'll go with that
And in the case of some, are in fact unmitigated disasters that didn't remotely meet expectations.
Literally Mass Effect Andromeda lol.
P5 is the obvious winner, but very high props to Nier, and to Berseria, the first truly great Tales game since......the first Nier came out, lol.

Sure but just because it's totally broken and empty doesn't mean you can't enjoy the new zelda. The charm makes up for a lot of its faults.
Unfortunately, Kingdom Hearts 0.2
BotW does look like it could be kinda neat, but I have a hard time believing I would really care about a Zelda game. None have been bad of what I've played, but none really get me invested in anything. I liked Twilight Princess, but that could be because Midna carries that game.

Well, it's not a Zelda game so....
Honestly this year's been fucking stellar so far, can't remember the last time there's been this many legitimate GOTY contenders.

I'd say the game that will win EVERY game of the year award, as well as being one of the highest rated ever, is the "obvious" winner. You know, using definitions of words and all...

The highest aggregate rated JRPG release tied with only Final Fantasy IX? Yeah, the obvious winner.
Might not even be in the top 5 for the series!
