This question confuses me. It always depends on the food. Always.
This is all wrong
This is like a poll saying "Best Beer: Budweiser, Labatt, Miller, Coors"

He said for general use
Green Tabasco > Cholula > Frank's
Not big on Sriracha, it doesn't fit well with most of the foods I like to put hot sauce on
There's really no such thing...

Sure there is. What wouldn't you put Cholula on?
Literally anything other than Mexican food.

And Cholula is amazing
I would use Frank's on several of those things, Tabasco on another
Youve never put Cholula on eggs?

Ok but that's not the question. You can only pick one, so what's wrong with Cholula in those cases?
Literally every hot sauce in existence is good on eggs.
You can do a lot better than Cholula. It somehow tastes worse than those Taco Bell packets.
The question is which is the best, not which is the most versatile
mustard is just bad
Again, if someone said "which is better: mustard or ketchup?" I'd answer the same way. There is no such thing as general use. The world is more complex than that, foolmo, Jesus Christ.
It's about which you would pick if you were stranded on a food-filled island and could only pick one.
