prime subbed
I appreciate it very much!

I won't ask yall to keep up with them monthly or anything but I'll say it WILL support me if you do so. Prime subs are just subs that don't cost you anything, and you get a refill on them! All the same benefits both ways (I have heard people say they did not know Prime subs helped at all)

Thank you everyone, really

aaaaaand ITS DEFEATING THE NATURE OF THE POLL I WANTED TO HOLD but I guess I'll allow GUM's nom.

thats the free game on Xbone, right?

well alright, time to make the poll (the actual reason I'm allowing it, I just want to do it already)

tbh if you want an honest gmun pick, lensy nailed it

keeping in mind bearers gameplay is not for everyone lmao but hey andylt enjoyed it enough

otherwise I would say Lost Kingdoms II but I prefer people play Lost Kingdoms 1 first (even though I played LK2 before LK in the blockbusters days)

man I'm glad I checked some messages before I made the topic

So which is it then, Crystal Bearers or Lost Kingdoms 1?

for some reason when CB was brought up, my head went to the remaster (did they ever fix that or something? I heard it was a bad port)

I forgot it was a GCN game, those I can do for sure (if a bit rough)

hrmmmm I'll leave it to you, but I do think Lost Kingdoms may be more your alley.

Crystal Bearers: short action RPG in a chill, upbeat world that wants to get you interacting with enemies/environment with its waggle gimmick gravity powers. Excels in its characters with a fine short plot... gameplay like I said not for everyone, filled with minigames that often don't feel well, but exploring the world itself can be fairly relaxing and promotes interaction.

Lost Kingdoms... I think I'm kinda turning back on my 1 before 2 actually.

LK1 can be a bit more archaic, 2 definitely the better game but they each have their own feel to them, with LK1 being more arcadey in that you can't go back to other levels until you beat the main game. LK1 has random encounters, when they occur a square area forms and a few monsters come up. In LK2 however they're entirely open maps populated by monsters you can fight freely, and you can always come back to any level from the world map. LK2 also has a new type of card (transformation) that's pretty cool, but on the other hand capturing monsters is 1000x easier aka spammable in LK1 which is also fun.

I kinda began typing this with the idea of "go for LK1 over 2 if you're cool with an archaic arcadey style" but really screw it just go for LK2 it's a much better game and you can always come back and enjoy what LK1 does different, that's what I did after all.

...

I think all this typing just pushed me to saying LK2

are LK 1 and 2 connected at all? I might just do LK1 out of principle of doing things in order

whats funny is you are clearly putting more thought into the LKs but if given the choice I was gonna go with FF LOL, simple cause its FF of course

do you think one could go BACK to LK1 if they play LK2?

I mean going BACK to LK1 after LK2 is exactly how I initially played the games. I rented LK2 on blockbuster, enjoyed it then rented the first... and eventually bought both on some christmas eb games shopping spree of like 20 gamecube games thanks to my mom

They are connected but it's moreso like a historical lore thing and I don't feel it's really necessary to be in-order, you can easily treat LK1 as a prequel that provides historical backstory... not that these are even really plot-heavy games. LK2 takes place 200 years after the first.
