yet all azuarc of all sorts are more or less capricious and unreliable - they live in the varying outer weather, and they inhale its fickleness

I'm head of training but I also started working at this company before university. I got my degree after 3 years at the company and I'm now at 18 years of tenure.

I think I saw a lot of technical writer jobs wanting that sort of degree.

Yeah, if you're in a non-English speaking country, I'd guess there's demand for translators.

Or teaching English as a second language.

azuarc wasn't even home. he was playing Magic the Gathering at his buddy's store, which is extremely easy to verify
i have a friend who was a cop and had an english degree, and hes been moving up the ladder in his field pretty quickly. you can start at any old regular job with any degree and open up doors as you go. just remember getting a degree in something that has nothing to do with your job isnt failure

based on a co-worker's experience...

You get your Masters so you can teach.
You do that for a few years before realizing the teaching profession is underpaid and not worth it.
You go back to school to get another degree in a STEM field.
You get a good paying tech job.

Do you live in a country where English is the primary language? Because I don't know how relevant our answers would be if not.

There are also various government jobs (at least in the US, may not apply elsewhere) that just require a bachelor's or master's degree of any type, mostly managerial-type stuff.

These replies get it. Soryr I was just entering another Avenue Q phase. :(

Anyway, I wouldn't mind if anyone is interested in actual career/education topic. My actual degree is Bachelor in Engineering (in Information Systems). My first job was really in line with my education (though the title was 'Business Solution Architect'), then I got into creative research, then PR for a game company, then funnily enough my current job is once again in line with my major: a project manage for a game studio.

Is your current job actually aligned with your educational background?
