I'm a sucker for the io ending, not sure which I like more but I think both would be pretty solid.

I'll aim for a quick rough cleanup and try to get things setup soon!

Barebones test site is up! Going with b8.wtf for now but not committed to it.
Working on and testing out changes live so may see some broken screens as I work on things, a classic board8.com experience!

Hoping to get that code committed tonight or early this week. If I get too hung up on cleaning up before committing it I'll just send you the current version so you can get a look at it.

Implemented:
-Registration/Login
-Posting topics/messages
-Basic API setup
-Update url routes (Behind the scenes is a bit of a mess, but works for now!)
-Text formatting (b, i, s, u)
-User Profile
-Message Detail screen

Haven't noticed anything off, how are they loading weirdly?

It does a lot of updating the screen without reloading the entire page, so that could be it. Might need to add in some sort of hold while it loads all the required info before swapping if it's looking too off.

That's what it is. It was kind of jarring since I wasn't expecting it. But maybe it will be better in the long run. And I see that you already have middle clicking links on your to-do list.

nice, can you also add a system where i get a notification every day telling me that i'm a monday loyalist, a tuesday faithful, and an april devotee? i would really miss that.

Best I can do is a badge for logging in 3 Thursdays in a row skipping 1, then 3 more Thursdays in a row.

That was the first thing I was gonna fix when I got the source code hah. Immediately annoying.

That said, it would be great it the site was all static HTML pages. The whole JS-rendered SPA thing is not in fashion anymore and people realized what a mistake it was.

To be honest I'm probably going to stick to the SPA approach. It's what I usually work with and kind of approaching this project as a 'recreate my first coding project to relax and get back to enjoying coding' type of thing in addition to the wanting to make a fallback in case this place shuts down.

I'm reworking the screen loading on my cleanup pass so it should pretty much feel like a very fast static HTML site. The URL and history also update with every link so it avoids some of those SPA annoyances.

Cool, as long as everything has a real URL. I like working in that way too but it's easy to get burned out dealing with bugs as things get more complex.

Ah yeah can def become a messy hassle that's for sure, I'm thinking the site has few enough pages that it shouldn't get too bad though. Going to make sure everything has a url and loads correctly from it (have a few issues on the current version to address.)

And slight update to the URLs, can now access the boards from just b8.wtf. Figured we've got that nice short url why make it twice as long by adding 'train' to it.

train.b8.wtf will still work and is where I'll test ui changes out before they go live

Seems that my work blocks sites ending in .wtf so I'll definitely need a good mobile experience.

I registered but when I try to Login, the Login button doesn't do anything. Not sure if it's a mobile issue.
Azuarc is my favorite arc of the Game of the Decade 2020 anime.
