Rules

1. You may vote up to 4 entries that fit the prompt.
2. No alts.
3. No deleting or editing posts; though, editing posts shortly after you post is fine.
4. If you change your vote, clearly indicate that you are changing a previous vote. Same for adding or subtracting picks.
5. In general, if there are two picks that can be considered the same product (i.e. Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Adventure 2 Battle), I will combine them.
6. If a vote is vague, I will pick the first available choice that best matches the vote (i.e. "Mario" for Wii Games becomes Super Mario Galaxy).
7. I will post the parameters of each Rushmore topic. Other than that, feel free to vote however you like and based on any criteria that best fits the "Mount Rushmore" of that topic.
8. If a vote doesn't fit the topic, it will count as a blank vote.
9. You may nominate as much as you want and have an unlimited amount of seconds for established nominations.
10. Every Sunday, I'll post the schedule for next week. I will pick based on the number of nominations. Any ties will be determined by RNG.

It was interesting that every single nomination had a unique first name, so I can tally just by first name.

It's also interesting that a whole mathematical problem is dedicated to Monty Hall. It wasn't enough to cinch him a spot on the Rushmore, but he had a good run.

Fruit feels like a fine choice, especially since there were votes for tarts focusing on just one specific fruit.

Instead of individual movies and splitting votes, we should all just say Hans Zimmer. Hes the undisputed GOAT anyway.

John Williams prevents that from being an undisputed category

would have agreed with The Nightmare Before Christmas, but that's a musical, which isn't really the same thing. (I assume the same is true for all the people saying The Lion King.)

Hans Zimmer won an Oscar for The Lion King's score. It's a decent pick for this even if you (correctly) ignore the "musical" songs.

The Lion King has an incredible and iconic score imo; while the vocal songs do add to the overall package of it being one of my favourite films, so too does the score. I honestly think that Zimmer's work is at his most iconic and recognizable even separated from the Hakuna Matatas and Circle of Lifes in the world.
I feel there are far too many instances of whole series being used, like which Lord of the Rings? Star Wars is just the 1977 movie though

The Wizard of Oz
Doctor Zhivago
Psycho
Star Wars
I just decided to change this sig.

To me, that's a mark I'm using to disqualify a number of scores.

Can I think of more than one or two pieces from the movie's score off the top of my head?

A lot of these, the answer is no.

Star Wars, Pirates, Lord of the Rings, Lion King, indisputably yes. Those are not top scores because they feature "the Theme from X", they are top scores because they have a whole body across the whole film that is memorable.

If you're naming a movie for one tune, then you are naming the wrong movie.
