Hardest thing about living there would be the cut throat work cultureTrue yeah work culture is brutal. We had a view into an office building from our hotel and there were some poor souls in there until at least 8pm most nights, some as late as 11pm one night.
I'd like Tokyo a lot more if it wasn't so crowded. I couldn't imagine living there and having to deal with commuter traffic every day...We did end up on the train during rush hour once or twice on weekdays and yeah it was pretty nuts. I was like uhh ok i think we're full now! and at the next stop 15 people would still make it in
Is there any trick to not paying a fortune for a flight? From my very brief research, that alone seems like it'll be more than half the cost of the entire tripNo real trick or secret unfortunately (if you find one, tell me). Set a bunch of google flight trackers and you'll be able to get yourself down to at least a small fortune rather than a large fortune. But you're absolutely right, the flight alone cost me more than nine nights at a decently nice but basic hotel (think like a mid-tier Mariott). Granted, I did splurge for Premium Select on Delta, but that was only an additional $400. Flight was still around $1,200 for basic seats. And with how weak the yen is right now (or even in normal conversions), everything is insanely cheap too. 6000 yen (around $40) covered the subway for the entire trip.
The pool is 5 feet deep in the deep end. It looks shallow because it simulates a white sand beach. I'm not sure if you've been to one before but I've been to one once in real life and it's super hard to tell the depth in a white sand beach. It always looks pretty shallow because the water reflects the white sand and stays pretty clear to the bottom. You can tell it's getting deeper because the blue gets more intense in that area.that makes sense
I reported one of these on 4/27 and my feedback ticket hasn't been addressed yet. Since this goes through the feedback system, if I needed to report another one, I wouldn't be able to since my first ticket is still open. Great system they have here.I very much enjoy the modern system of "vet our ads for us because we can't be assed to do it ourselves"
there are two better coupons on their app that you should be using over the fry oneWhich ones?
Let's be honest, though - literally no one is going to just post "hey, this is happening" without adding their own snide take on it. Which is where the political part comes in.Generally speaking, I agree with the rest of your post, except this part.
Like it or not, realize it or not, accept it or not, pretty much everyone adds their own biases when discussing current events. Even choosing which stories to mention and which to ignore (let alone which news sites you choose to link to) is playing into bias.
https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/3818/696060/Interesting. Those heavy high % ones are usually delicious, but they're so filling that I can really only have one of them.
Home maintenance sucksStill far superior to renting
The confusion arises because anything can be politcal to someone. This type of topic restriction leads to inconsistent moderation.exactly
To be fair, they did overturn my moderation without me appealing, so they might just genuinely be confused about the confusing ToSI get the sense that the moderators are just as confused as we are w/r/t what "politics" actually means.
Oh it has. Neither of us want kids. He just doesn't like surgery. My last relationship of 6 years ended because of resentment of me not wanting kids even though I was clear the entire time. My relationship now I made sure my partner did not want kids at all.Good deal
I'm just not sure why it was part of the Covid restrictions initially.Agreed. "Hey we want fewer people cramped together, so let's funnel the same number of people into a smaller number of available hours"
Obviously so the corporation makes more moneyYeah this. End of the day, it's always this.
I asked my boyfriend if he would be open to a vasectomy but he said no because he "doesn't want to alter his body" which is his choice but also a little weenie imo when his procedure is defintiely way easier. So I made an appointment for me right away. His body his choice.Yeah ultimately his body his choice indeed, but make sure this kid conversation has been had. Not gonna pretend I know how long the two of you have been together, but better to find out now vs. later. If you don't want kids but he's hesitant to get a vasectomy, that might be a sign that his mind towards kids might change.
It was just am excuse. They have rolled back every other covid policy but thatYeah this really. It's disappointing, especially in a place like Las Vegas, but evidently it's not profitable to keep a restaurant open overnight when there are only a dozen patrons from 1AM-9AM, all the while you still have to pay a full crew of chefs, waiters, hosts, bussers, etc.
NopeDamn Crimsoness was a CE regular
I can't talk about politicsThat's fucked up in this context
Well Mr Fandom admin wanted to hear our opinion on the recent change so I want to see it in a poll formLet's be honest, they didn't actually want to hear our feedback. They just wanted to give us a topic or two to vent before forgetting about it forever. The admin (not dylan, I think dylan's boss) even said something like we hear your overwhelmingly negative, borderline unanimous, feedback and still will not be changing anything" in one of the topics
this topic was removed for being off-topic in a social board lmaoooSo they brought back "off topic" too?
I want to see more picture comparisonsMy bad on that one lol
I felt very betrayed when I clicked on that imgur link and saw that instead of showing examples of the terrible avatars it showed a picture of what a ratio is.
B) on the transphobia websiteIt was just a link to the official post. Look at r/pokemongo. It's pages and pages of gripes and complaints. This isn't something isolated to twitter.
As I recall people were pretty excited about the sliders giving them more body type options as well, which also tends to tick off jerks. No one is looking at this and saying "holy shit they added sliders I hate this because of that reason." If they just added sliders and changed nothing else and people were mad, you would absolutely have a point.
If they actually removed existing customization options then that would be a legit gameplay reason to be upset (non-gender related), but then why wouldn't the TC have mentioned that in their first post instead of waiting for people to question it? Coming in on a bad note.Because I legitimately didn't (and still don't) see it as a gender issue.
There's nothing transphobic or whiny about this. These new avatars are genuinely hideous. The new models look like developer pre-alpha placeholders and/or like someone pushed "random" on Fallout's character creator.Yeah I legitimately didn't even notice that the outrage is being attacked for being transphobic... that's not how I see the changes at all. They ruined the faces, trimmed back the skin colors, removed shapes, and made the sliders essentially break everything. I'm 100% pro trans rights and can't understand why hating the new designs means people are being transphobic.
