Console exclusivity is anti-consumer. The industry will be in a better place when no exclusives at all exist
All the Japanese devs that used to be Playstation exclusive finally putting their games on PC during the mid/late PS4 era was a fantastic time. I don't want to buy a several hundred dollar machine just to play a few games, it's so wasteful.

I cannot believe how a giant corporation like Microsoft simply cannot compete in a market where Sony already claimed the ps5 is both not getting any 1st party support and is also in it's late life stage. The Dreamcast had more and better games in its short lifespan ffs, it'll also be more fondly remembered than the current gen.
Whenever shareholders are involved they'll usually set some arbitrary, always-increasing, metric that one of them pulled directly from their ass.
So they may have tied it to growth of Gamepass memberships over a set number of months; again with some figure pulled directly from their ass. So if they don't meet the metric they kill jobs so their quarterly reports look good.
