Zodiac's problems are... well, let's see.
- we don't know what "month" she's fighting under. that aspect of time hasn't really been explored much within mpfc contests and in something like this can result in a very messy situation.

- a lot of her powers speak in absolutes when they really, really shouldn't. 'protects against everything,' 'cut into anything,' 'will not fall for whatever reasons,' how a person who can run at 100 MPH can 'dodge most attacks without real problem,' etc. some of them just plain don't even logically make sense - if you don't even move then there is nothing to predict of what you're going to do in a speed-related power, that's precog. there's literally nothing to observe. same goes for those chakrams of 'so fast they inflict damage before being thrown' - that has nothing to do with speed. you don't even shoot for an interp, you just shoot for as far an extreme as you can get which results in a really bad powerset.

- then you just plain have the vague, "almighty sea serpent'? 'summons leviathan'? 'one of the opponent's limbs'?

beyond that there are a number of broken combinations there - make a clone in the month of 'transfer all damage and have it get almost killed before doing the flip, make a clone in the month of 'turn limbs to gold' and do that from both the original and the clone before sending out some cut through anything chakrams or paralysis darts in 'all directions' or transform into an acid spitting 'almighty' sea serpent that's got a free life, make the illusion of what they want the most and do any of the above again.

i mean from the sounds of it, she's pretty much straight left with only 12 (13 with clone, or more than that depending on the illusions one) moves before she's reduced to... another part that doesn't make sense. if she can throw these unlimited supply chakrams accurately then that doesn't make her at all seem 'nearly worthless.' she's got chakrams around her at all times and is good at using 'em. i assume they don't suck (don't know what to think of 'em really) and she's rather good at using 'em. her powers are all over the place though and her body makes the defense ones matter considerably less - a glass cannon basically. sure you CAN be invincible but it sure would be better if you could make some auto-inflicting cuts anything for eternity blades that defy all logic, common sense, and physics. it's just a mess in way too many areas, including the concept of what month it is, to work well in these types of competitions.

<_<; also man are you bitter to include pluto. you also seem to forget that the zodiac isn't a constant time period and that it actually changed recently once people figured out that, based on the way it's done, the signs have been wrong for years.

i have no idea how this site works but this is strangely descriptive. limits, powers, unique traits and powers. can't complain on anything there. nobody knows how it fights exactly but it's a machine, so it's only natural to assume that, at the lack of description, it'd follow a very robot-like route of efficiency, effectiveness, and logic. pretty interesting one and thankfully the Hyperorb is TOO BIG for it. initially.

mm... that's fair. and i was thinking of it being a broken tier but that's not quite right, it's more of 'this character will have bad matches with an overwhelming majority.' if it's super broken like that then yeah, that's a whoole other problem.

though from the sounds of it, batman would be arguable due to fitting pretty much all 3 prongs of clever, inventive, and very determined. rand would be screwed as it'd be immune to magic even with that kai powerup of his (since it's one of his items). i guess it belongs in more of a ??? land than a straight shoving into that category because it's really, really dependent on what we get. in the best case there would be a couple characters that'd lead to interesting matches and things would be fine. in the worst it'd go into that other tier where it's guys with stuff that doesn't quite work out for normal matches but may be interesting otherwise.

it's a good character to have both ways. either it fits fine in the normal part or it's one of the few characters who would work well in a tier of 'too perfect' or 'one trick pony' characters and is a good counter to have. if it's just plain broken to THAT level you mentioned then it's really just plain not worth being in any category as it can't give good matches. the biggest issue he really has ends up being that there's no... clear and straightforward way to win it from what the character can already do. maybe that's not the right phrase to use; the examples you listed to beat it are that somebody's flames improving to the point where they burned through the immunity (is this Needless all over again) or literally getting new powers. the bare hands one was interesting because it did show one notable weakness: it's only copying up to the powers that a person has grown to rely on. therefore if there are other ones then it may be fair game. using a Pokemon example this makes me think that if i have myself something like a Mewtwo fielding Psychic/Calm Mind/Psystrike/Brick Break, it'd be immune to psychic attacks just fine because 90% of the time that's what is being used. but that 10% of the time i'm probably gonna be okay.

i mean it's not a perfect analogy as it'd be forced to use the other move sometime or another (nor is it necessarily a good movestet >__>) but still, just the idea of 'you don't often use this so maybe...?' but yeah, where he'd fit would entirely depend on where the competition is. mainly because that's literally how his power works too.



(still gotta do Zodiac and SCP too. haven't forgotten, that was just post limit and i'm now catching up on some anime before posting stuff on that.)

i'm not sure you actually realize how crazy kaiju gets by how casual you're making the godzilla tidbits (especially as you aren't even specifying what godzilla you're talking about, and yes there's apparently a difference). though considering you have it 'impervious' to nukes or black magic unless it's for hilariously bad or cheesy effects' i guess that's the main weakness it has? should flesh out how deep that weakness is because let's face it: 'black magic' generally will be a couple levels under nukes in... almost all media. you prob also wanna detail more of its personality, besides 'eat everything,' but that's more optional than 'so anything comedy works but if it isn't then you need to be Kaiju level?' if that's the interp level - anything comedy to ??? magic needed to nukes - then uhh... okay. slightly wide range there.


Chrono - The Hyperorb.
i... actually can't think of anything bad to say on this. literally everything material-wise can be looked up and that's a pretty solid description of the amount of solid tungsten you're talking about. if you wanted to, you could flesh out how that nervous control works (e.g., could it make people kill themselves) but if you leave that to interp it'd be fine too. one of those 'up to you.'


GANON - The Disease That Hates
i again have nothing to really say on this. it's all pretty cleanly detailed and a very unique character that will be fun to put in. many thanks to you and that brain of yours for coming up with this.


Jeffery - Regal
i assume this 'miasma' is the same as the last character you had? that's... really the only major question there. i'm picturing this Natsu-Laxus hybrid of sorts (mostly Natsu) from Fairy Tail with Regal and i'm not sure how accurate that is. hell, Natsu's probably tankier but still. defense is the only possible question i could come up with but i can't find a problem with that either as he also seems fairly 'human' as a base with various types of magic to boost him up to superhuman levels, but nothing really extraordinary. if you want to specify some durability feats that's up to you. from what you wrote he really doesn't seem to be that far off from where a lot of guys will belong. if there's more details, feel free to plot 'em down because he's perfectly fine.


Kenri - Antitehesis
being straight? it's got some heavy anti-spiral vibes to it, only that it's beatable. yet unless you're... basically a shounen lead who will try to achieve victory even when it seems impossible and can 'level up', it... results in a loss. kinda makes for a polarizing result on a question there: can this character 'level up' or not. if not, they lose. if they can, they probably win. it's useful for a plot device in a story to show progress, but it's not really that good in a fight. it WOULD however be useful of a counter for some others i've said this to before (Eveny especially comes to mind) so maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to field a "Headdesk Tier" category because this isn't going to be something that stops and it'd allow more people to not just issue watered down things.

but also feel free to post the really long sci-fi guy. you will not be the first to do really long writeup. that's what the wiki is for!

haha, no prob. i do agree with the sentiments that an SSD isn't a bad idea to load your OS on because boot times can seriously be cut down to half a minute easy, but i've also never had much problems with just a good HDD too and never really... minded the wait. prices have been dropping steadily for a while too so now it's possible to get 120 or 128GB for around 100 bucks. just for personal use i don't think they're ready in the way that i use mine until they start hitting 200+. at that point it goes installed programs -> SSD, storage stuff -> HDD. the best possible loading times a game could get WOULD come out of an SSD, but it's fine through a normal drive too, if your system is beefy enough anyway.

because it's wasting time on segments that can otherwise be focused on very good talent they already have.

i mean i understand where you're coming from and i agree it isn't worthless. it also makes for a very easy and very good segway to get someone up from their development (assuming they do go with getting Ohio) into the main company without needing to change something about their gimmick - it's a straight path upwards. used correctly this would be a perfect medium for them to experiment, bring up, and see how talent is working out in a live field.

but they aren't using it correctly. cut down the time spent on it to 20 minutes and it'll be worth it. have them face devon (good idea) or others who will normally be on the show anyway will be worth it, though Aries is being heavily underused for this role even in kayfabe - he's got a title on him after all. unless, of course, you bring someone up who can and will pin him. then it becomes interesting.

OCZ power supplies aren't BAD but they aren't generally the ones i look for at 100% security. lasting a couple years sure, but lasting 5+ is where things may get more questionable. if you're looking into cheaper ones then also look for some Rosewill ones - that's newegg's house brand. some of what they offer are very high quality, some aren't, so there's some research to be done to see if a couple reliable reviews exist.

of course, if you aren't interested in modular/can take it, the fact that there's a corsair 850 for notably less is a pretty big deal.

however cardio and stretching are entirely different stories. pretty sure most of my future concerns will be in one if not both of those fields. so far the best advice i've figured cardio has is... basically, start running. then keep running. if there's something else in there i'm all ears.

and stretching is the one that's beyond me in figuring out what's 'best.'

hey, it's an easy to remember url. most everything is simple right now with the most complicated stuff being best shown in Roman: Within her writeup there are two links, Writeup and Details, and they serve to make it easier when postage hits. seemed like a good standard to pick really, i can just take a link to the writeup, C&P, then a link to description and C&P the link to save space.

so for Keyuri, only two things come to mind:
1) when the core is ruptured will she fade away immediately? gradually? like i had the personal mental image of her leaving like blood would leave a person or something; so a small wound wouldn't have her leave much, yet a big one will drain her away hard. though she can be pretty air-y. still, others could a 'gradual' effect like a balloon and air. that'd prob be the range you're looking at, from air to blood. not sure if you want to specify anything there (e.g., gradual or immediate, if gradual any comparisons).

2) this is a strange one but it almost seems like i have my own interp on the phantom goo already. i'm not sure if you intentionally left the kind of damage this sort of attack deals to interp or not. it's far from conventional so some may view it as strong against the living or weak against things with high magic res, while others could see it like Luna from Fire Emblem - just straight raw damage no matter what. just wondering if this was intentionally left as a ???

wiki should be 'done' in an hour. once i figured out how to link to specific parts on the page, it became a bit more interesting to play with some stuff and figured out how to do a couple things pretty easily. most of the job is a C&P and i'll add things on accordingly (like specific details covered not in the writeup but scattered through the topic) to keep the organization solid. for now i'll be the only one who can edit stuff, need to figure out the permissions and will get to that tomorrow.

before i sleep, will post some stuff regarding contest-format as i remembered 2 things that should help flesh out the whole tiered league idea:


1) an earlier MPFC attempt we had with a league system. it was broken down into a couple categories, you had god tier (e.g., yukari), heavy tier (e.g., superman), middle tier, low tier, maybe something else in between 'em (i forget) and it was... decent. too long and not entirely helpful for some guys because despite being in the same power level, it was real easy to juts be a complete and total jobber or just OP it. not intending to use those kinds of tiers necessarily (especially if i can avoid the god one because the main people there were lovecraft gods, darsh, superboy prime, yukari, and a constantly-jobbing-vegetto), but the idea isn't bad. thinking of going with 3 because that's really where things get most interesting and it allows to fit a sizable amount of variety within itself. one thing it did lack however, was movement. if you're losing badly and someone else is winning a ton, maybe you belong in something lower and they belong in something higher. nothing wrong with finding out you botched the placement of a character. overall that contest, though it had its share of problems, did result in some interesting exposure for a lot of guys and was useful data. it was attempted again and failed soon after but still, the original had certain charm to it, despite being ungodly long. this leads me to think about...

2) a moving tier system. mercs 1 put this in place and it too had its share of problems, mainly of people getting stuck in between two tiers (there were 3) and promptly dying off because they couldn't keep up with relative growth of those who kept punching their face in or those who were climbing yet still under them by the measurements-not-power. but without an economy system to worry about and the lack of repeat matches, this can be useful. this would end up being the more complicated mechanic as it's hard to justify when someone should get bumped up or down - if there's enough entries though it can be something like what i'm callin' a 3/7 rule (lose 3 times, get challenged the top girls of the tier under you) and we can keep your wins/losses between tiers in separate columns (e.g., 3-1 T2, 1-2 T3) to see how well she's doing.



combined i think they result in a very good system for something like this. nothing really set in stone because it's still way too early and it's just brainstorming things that can work. only thing i'm sure will be come up are girls stuck in between two tiers and be too good for one yet not too good for another. hopefully though this kind of system would resolve it too though - if you end up being 2/5 in Tier 2 but 5/2 in Tier 3, you were probably someone who belonged in the lower tier, but could match well in the higher one too. the performance would show that however, so... yay?

though uhh... jc, you prob didn't read it (somewhere on this page or late in the last) but the format's gonna be changed into some sort of tiered league setup instead of just a tournament being A vs. B because there's a sizable amount of effort being put into things and a pretty good amount of entries for something 2-3 days old. specifics of the competition aren't (and realistically, can't) be set in stone by the way this is supposed to work - contest around the entries, not entries around the contest - so yeah. if you end up having more than 1 character you want to make, you can.

nope, basic descriptions seem fine enough and any question is just on clarity, personality, backstory (if any), etc. as a general powerset without knowing much of the details and assuming it's fairly 'normal' (like they aren't homing acid bubbles of death or something) it seems fine.

if you're looking for a bar, we've got street level marvel to... midrange servant-ish level for most. at least i think that's where the general range of most have gone. some higher, some lower, some entirely fail at being measured this way. as more entries come in more can be done for highs and lows.

Roode's title run is one of the best things TNA has going for it in how much they're making the belt matter. Punk/Jericho STARTED this way too, before it went all personal for no good reason. and punk/dragon should also get back to it again too as right now their feud is very much so about the belt and one upping the other. it's escalating there.

that clarifies a lot, thanks. less useful than it initially sounded, but that can probably use some clarity in any writeup she has. "I have this attack that goes at light speed, but it doesn't have any physical force from an attack fired at light speed" would get a lot of confusion because it's... less of an 'attack' as people would identify that sooner as LIGHT SPEED ATTACK instead of "it's more like a ray of light or a beam from a suped up flashlight - hot but not beamspam death."

outside of the clarity there, don't really find much problem. i mean a million micro sonic booms sounds funny and loud and i've no idea how much force that'd produce, but okay. 'performance mode' is midigated by a personality that wouldn't enter it early, quick, or seemingly too willingly but more out of necessity.


(also this is totally related to dancing chick from Horizon, isn't it.
and i assume she has large breasts and dresses skimpy too.)
