well I worked at a liquor store for 2 years in college (the owners were awesome, always giving something free to try) so I am familiar with most major wine and spirits. cool you know your stuff too, always good to converse with someone knowledgeable about liquor.

Basil is the nectar of gods, it is just a little pricey. when drinking bourbon I normally stick with jim, makers or even benchmark (best cheap bourbon I have found). if it is a special occasion I will do basil, knob creek or even bookers (the bookers is super smooth for its proof, but still a sipping bourbon only). The only one I really detest is wild turkey and I dont like jack (it isnt a bourbon but it is popular for some reason)

Woodford is awesome...official bourbon of the kentucky derby...I love makers as well but my favorite bourbon is Basil Haydens...if you havent tried it you must do so.
