What? It's bad. It's probably the second worst RPG I've played, the worst being Beyond the Beyond.

Man, I can understand if you didn't like the game. But Legend of Dragoon is anything but the second worst RPG (unless you've played very few RPGs maybe).

There are a TON of RPGs worse than LoD even if I look at it from an extremely critical point of view

9.3 - One of my favorite games on the PS1 and also one the best stories to date mixed with horrible translation and script. Otherwise perfect. Would love a remake just as much as FF7.

To this day I cannot understand why Odin (the supposedly great warrior) sucks so much in battle. He's basically the most useless character in the game.

Alice and Noa rocks. Mua has that ever so important cure spell. Sure Odin has the best weapon but it misses a lot too and his defense just sucks for some reason.

Wow, Episode II bests Episode I. Some folks are going to miss several beats of the ol' heart over that one.

Episode II was definitely the weakest of the three for me as well. Episode III was just plain amazing

^ I know man. The battle animations are too long in the Xenosaga series. I personally think Episode II was a letdown but Episode III really picked up the tempo Episode I had.

I suppose I shouldn't post here since Final Fantasy VI and Chrono Trigger are the only games from Square that I've beaten, but yeah.

Judging solely from your username I presume you went the way of N64 - GC -Wii? instead of PS1-2-3. Although PS3 (so far) is sucking in the RPG department. I'd say the PS1 and PS2 collection of RPGs are the best gaming has had to offer.

Can't believe you missed out on FF4 since you've played square RPGs from that era.
I suggest you play at least FF7-10 if you want to taste the peak of the series.

And don't listen to people who hate on FF7. People go into FF7 expecting the best game ever and gets disappointed (exactly what happened to me with Zelda: OoT, Majora's Mask was the best for some reason) with some of it's flaws and how the graphics are crap and all. FF7 is a great game and most haters are either Nintendo fanboys/girls (who hate on FF for being Nintendo's biggest competitor) or people who went into FF7 expecting the undisputed Best Game Ever.

Did Djokovic make Roddick look good in thumping Nadal @ Wimbledon 2011 and prior
Roddick won just two matches against Federer. H2H: 20-2 Federer. Roddick could have been at least a five plus Slam winner if not for Federer. Roddick owns just one. Is that bad? Or being stopped cold in your tracks when you were on the cusp of rewriting history? Wouldn't you choose the latter as the far stingier jab? Nadal-Djokovic? 16-12 Nadal.

One apparel at a time, Djokovic has completely undressed Nadal in full public view. Nadal stands totally nude. That's the hard part of being in public eye. When you fall, it hurts that much harder. And what were these pieces of clothing shielding Nadal's dignity? Two straight wins on hard courts took care of the shirt, two clay courts wins right after took care of the trousers, 'give me that' No. 1 rank clinch took care of the vest and the five set format win @ Wimbledon on the third surface took care of the drawers. Can it any worse? Well, you can't leave the openings unplugged, can you?

Nadal's near impressive run up to all these five finals brings an authentic closure to the argument on how thoroughly Nadal has been had. Besides, Roddick at least didn't have the luxury of owning a home like Nadal did on red, making the dagger even harder to stomach and the domination that much more comprehensive and humiliating.

This BS that Nadal is now going to come back with new strategy and find a way to beat Nadal like he had done in the past against other opponents is just that: BS. We are way way way way past that post. Nadal was lucky, pure lucky, that he was not bageled for the last two sets of the tournament. If not for drop in Djokovic's form and focus, there was going to be no fourth set with two bagels in the last two. That drop in form had NOTHING to do with Nadal.

Nadal's only hope of winning anything is based on Djokovic faltering - big freaking time - consistently.

What could be even worse? How about Federer beating Djokovic - routinely? OK, that may be a stretch but even if it's intermittent and Nadal continues to get annihilated, wouldn't Federer have earned some pay back from so many quarters while pushing Nadal to 'Borg' territory with respect to both 'R' and suicide? Heck, it's even plausible to assume that had Federer not lost to Tsonga, Nadal could have won his 11th Slam - easily - either because he would have faced Federer or a really really tired Djokovic. Or even a tired, dying, on hospital bed with crutches Djokovic still a winner over Nadal now?

In all this shifting of the Platonic plates, the worst sufferer has to be ..........wait for it............Murray, don't you think? Both Federer and Nadal have had reasonable amount of food to not feel so agonized watching this new train cause havoc at least when compared to Murray who is not only NOT on the board he is in minus territory on that plain. If Djokovic is the real thing for the long haul and Murray has been had by Nadal repeatedly and convincingly, what do think his chances of going into another sulking session is?

With Delpo making steady progress in his quest to get his game together for the big stage, Murray have be shut out even before he gets started.

But the real winner in all this is Federer. Duh!!!! His No. 16 appears safe leaving the H2H against Nadal and other BS from pulling him down from the perch without much power. Could Djokovic get there? Who freaking knows and with so much distance AND time filling the gap the number of variables are beyond mind boggling.

You praised Nadal for his never say die attitude but spent a whole paragraph complaining about how he quits matches early? what huh

Sportsmanship and style of play are completely different subject matters.

When Nadal plays a match. He doesn't panic. He saves a lot of break points... puts on a different gear on the important points. In short he has a lot of grit and more often than not he comes back when he's down a break or such. I appreciate that about him. That shows he doesn't give up easily. Thats in tight matches by the way.

Now when his opponent gets a shift in momentum and the moment he sees a no win situation. He either calls a timeout or quits (so that he has an excuse for his loss) or takes so much time in between serving in order to distract the opponent or break their momentum.
Heck even the commentators are pointing that issue out. No wonder Berdych and Ljubicic got so annoyed.
You'll also see he serves noticeably faster when he's in command. Thats some very sly tactics you know. Most people look past it.

I can even point out some matches in which he used those tactics to completely change the tide of the match in his favor. The one I remember most is the final in Monte Carlo (clay) during Federer's prime. Back then Masters Series used to be best of 5 setters. Nadal was up 2 sets to love against Fed. Fed went into beast mode. Got the 3rd set. Was dominating the 4th set only for Nadal to call a timeout. That completely broke Federer's rhythm.
You see those timeouts automatically puts you in a win-win situation.
Scenario A (Which is most likely) - Nadal breaks opposition's rhythm to squeeze out a win. Example: Monte Carlo Final (2005 or 2006) against Federer 6-2 7-6 6-7 7-6 (something like that... it was long time back though)
Scenario B - Nadal loses. Has an excuse for his loss in the press so that he doesn't give his opponent an edge in their next meeting. Example: AO Open (2010) - loss to Murray 3-6 6-7 0-3 ret.
Also blamed loss on a stomach pain in this year AO QF against Ferrer.

It's all psychological. Nadal is like the Jose Mourinho of tennis. Or maybe his uncle is.

My Point is: Nadal = Gritty tennis player but at the same time a bad sportsman.

I like how Djokovic purposely does the same thing while serving against Nadal. It shows that the Djoker is aware of Nadal's sly tactics and he isn't afraid to give him a dose of his own medicine.
