If you buy the XBLA versions of Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles, you can play Sonic 3 & Knuckles.

If you buy them for Genesis you can play Sonic 3 & Knuckles too.

I'm just expressing my befuddlement that a compilation with both games does not allow you to "combine" them.

It just boggles my mind that they did so much right with it but failed to enable Sonic 3 + Knuckles!

Let's do some quick and dirty (and likely inaccurate) Lesnar Math.

Extreme Rules 2011 did 209K buys
Extreme Rules 2012 did 251K buys

Let's for the sake of argument attribute all 42,000 extra buys to Brock.

PPV costs are $55 for HD, $45 for SD, and cheaper to some extent Worldwide, so let's be conservative and say that the mean price paid for this PPV was $40.

That would mean that Brock brought in an extra $1,680,000.

Then figure that half of that probably gets kicked back to the PPV providers, leaving WWE with an extra $840,000 profit in one night thanks to Brock Lesnar.

He's already doing good work paying off his contract!

Yes, this is the 3rd year of Extreme Rules taking Backlash's spot.

EDIT: And yes, generally Backlash was #5, although that trend shifted to No Way Out once they put the Chambers there in 2008.

It's only in 2011 and 2012 that the post-WM spot has passed up the Chamber PPVs again.

The good news for Punk and Bryan is that last year's Over the Limit did an extremely mediocre 140,000 buys.

If they can even MATCH that in the undercard even with a comedy match on top I don't think they'll be Mizzed.

Does Survivor Series still get "big four" numbers? I'd be pretty surprised.

Not really but it's consistently Top Five every year. It's typically been getting right in this Extreme Rules buyrate range, maybe a little lower.

WM >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Rumble > Summerslam >>>> Chamber/Survivor Series >>> The rest

Although oddly enough, Extreme Rules is usually on top of "the rest."

Although Punk did say creative can't pit the two against each other anymore since they're the top merchandise sellers.

Cena vs. Rock happened.

It's a Hogan vs. Andre scenario in a way. Hogan's on this super-long run with the belt, and Andre is off in his own little sideshow world seemingly unconnected with the title picture, then one day Heenan gets in his ear and every fan around the world drops a brick in their pants.

Obviously this isn't at THAT level but it could be a poor man's version.

That one is a ton of exposition to get to an interesting point, but the point is still interesting.

Cena and Punk really do sort of exist as the two pillars of WWE that don't overlap.

Although that just means that they're building to an eventual match between the two the right way.

It would be a neatly seamless transition to just burn through whatever FCW episodes they've still got in the can plus whatever they tape tomorrow night, script some angle about the end and the transition, and then just start the new NXT tapings the week after that.

NXT could then be in FCW's timeslot on Brighthouse Cable but internet-only to the rest of America.

Well the Board did do something.

They said "Well now we're gonna fire you unless you can actually beat Cena legit somehow" and then proceeded to cover up all the potential loopholes.

But he outsmarted them.

But really they clearly WANTED to fire him anyway, just not before Cena kicked his ass, so really they SHOULD just have sent a memo on Monday firing him.

There are 2 outcomes:

2.) He CAN fire Cena. But let's not forget what the Board thought of the last guy who wanted to fire Cena.

I would guess it's because they like to jab at each other.

In other news, this is the most "Only in TNA" story I've ever read:

-According to a source within TNA, a major issue which lead to tension between Ric Flair and TNA was the handling of the Gut Check segment on Impact featuring Alex Silva. Flair reportedly went off script when he chose Silva as the winner, which is now causing issues for TNA for two reasons. First of all Flair went into business for himself, which has upset people. Secondly, Silva is from Quebec, requiring TNA to spend more time and money getting him a US Visa if they want to use him regularly.

Flair went off-script on a TAPED SHOW and accidentally kayfabe hired someone who wasn't supposed to be kayfabe hired, and now TNA is STUCK WITH IT? LOFREAKINGL.

Unless this is some lame attempt at reality era stuff.
