I'm going to repost this here since you guys might be interested. Talking about NHL 13:
Be a GM mode is pretty boring in the NHL games and needs some sort of innovation. I was just thinking about this idea earlier. What if we could manage the teams coaches just like we could manage players? Hire an offensive-minded or defensive-minded coach (both determine the type of play the team uses). Each coach has an overall stat level, and that increases as the team gets better, or decreases if the team goes on a losing streak. You can fire a coach mid-season if your team goes on a slump, and hire the best coach available at the time. If you pick a team that is full of offensive players but has a defensive style coach (Lightning/Boucher), they will suffer for it or see the players learn more defensive stats if they play well. I'm talking about stereotypical characters found in just about every jRPG game I have come across, that are pretty much identical to anime characters.
- Stereotypical loner/brooding badass - Stereotypical clumsy, dimwitted girlfriend/sidekick - Stereotypical idiot main character - Stereotypical pet/animal/creature that talks - Anything involving tears flowing like waterfalls - Anything related to anime drawing (I don't know why they can't draw subtle facial movements and must over-draw everything [large mouths for shocked, X'd out eyes for dead/drunk, etc]).
