i ended up doing a honour mode game with a friend and i'm a Dark Urge Death Knight. Oathbreaker Paladin and Blade Pact Warlock.

we're level 5, and there's been some very spicy fights, but we've managed to not wipe so far.

about to head into the teahouse

yeah i bounced around a lot between storm coast and the hinterlands at first.

now all i have left to do in them is the shards gathering.

I feel like a lot of these bug patches are fixing bugs that nobody even encountered while shit like the shield bash glitch stays around forever

i thought the shield bash glitch was one of the things they fixed in this one?

I did unlock Emprise du Lion, but you might be right.

I did remember it being cool. I do remember some of the enemies being absolute dicks tho

same here. i have several QoL mods.

i actually didn't mind wandering around the Hinterlands for hours on end (except the dragon area, i did that later) because i don't value my time or my sanity.

I've only ever beaten it once and felt like playing through again. I already beat origins and 2 recently, so figured i'd do inquisition.

also Origins is buggy as hell on PC, even with modfixes and stuff. Mana Clash crashed the game literally every time i used it.

Still on my human two-handed Templar.

Just finished up the main quests in the Hissing Wastes. God damn that zone is big and empty. Managed to snag all of the mosaic pieces though.

Should I start doing the Oculara and collecting all the shards in the other zones, or move on to doing Emprise du Lion or Emerald Graves?

Or should I do the Descent DLC and unlock even higher tier endgame equipment?

Or do I do the Main Story and unlock the Arbor Wilds?

oh. i don't know much about dnd so that went over my head.

so my mods from a long time ago are just being problems right now, so i uninstalled the game, deleted everything that was left over in the game folder and in the appdata folder.

reinstalling now, so hopefully in 20 hours i can actually play the damn game. (edit 9 1/2 hours)

Are you really playing a Baldur's gate game if not as a durge or some variant?

i've never played any other baldur's gate game before. i got to the mountain pass on my dwarf druid in this one before, but it's been like 6 months since i've played

should i go dark urge sorcerer or warlock then or just a regular custom character

if i want to be a goody two shoes what party should i run then?

i really dislike being "evil" or "a dick" in rpgs

I was playing a dwarf druid last time but i didn't particularly feel attached to it.

should i just pick one of the origin characters? Dark Urge looks fully customizable but i don't like the murderhobo backstory terribly much.

it's pretty bad but i haven't spent more than 20 bucks on stuff outside the expacs

my grandma gave me a 10oz bar of silver as part of my inheritance before she bites it. i have debts i'm working on, so i was thinking of selling it and using it towards that, probably getting 350-380CAD for it (is what i was told).

my parents have told me that this is a terrible idea and that i need to hold onto it for the future because it's gonna be worth like 50,000 (their words) and if i get rid of it now i'll always regret it.

now i usually trust my dad when it comes to financial stuff, as he did go to college for business and successfully ran his own business for over a decade before deciding to switch to fundraising, which he's been doing successfully for over 20 years now.

i dunno. anyone got any input?

I've never once been able to get Mercedes locked in. I always somehow manage to get Madeline or the duchess...

I just remember the ice spell being broken as a sorcerer

i was not fond of the giant tornado spell that made you unable to see ANYTHING for WAY too long

Lets be real. The actual gear and whatnot of the pawns really didn't matter a whole lot and they were mostly there to faff around while you killed everything.

i sucked tho so i didn't kill a lot of things. i relied heavily on my friends strider and mage pawns

I haven't looked at any news for this game yet. I'm hoping that it's possible to create and use more than one of your own pawns. I get that a main draw of the first game is that you have to recruit other players' pawns to fill out your party, but I want to fully design my own party instead of having to rely on the endless legion of skimpy loli waifus.

surprisingly i didn't see a whole lot of skimpy waifus in any of my runs in the first one. then again, i did mostly only use friends pawns, not random players
