Pearl Jam is amazing generally but they do have a few utter trash albums. Ten, Vs., Yield, and Backspacer are all mint IMO. Their last two have been decent but somewhat forgettable.

I don't know Pantera at all tbh.

Same, although I've never had a reason or urge to try. I'd probably have a really tough time giving myself a needle in the arm or something.

I'd just say I'm very anxious about getting cuts on my fingers. I fucking hate having cuts on my fingers.

Depends on whether only I knew or not.

If only I knew: I'd order a ton of my favorite shitty foods (pizza, wings, cheesesteaks, subs, fried chicken, ice cream, etc.) and pig out, just watching movies in bed being as fat as possible. I wouldn't be able to play video games, I think I would just feel like it's futile effort. Eating junk is something I'd like to do but have too much self respect to do, so if somehow I were able to do it without consequence, I'd definitely choose that. I'd say goodbye to loved ones at the very end. I wouldn't want them to suffer or worry or spread the word.

If everyone knew: I'd lock up the house tight af with my loved ones and be worried about getting looted the entire time. Probably wouldn't be able to relax at all and it would suck. Shitty last few days.

Midnights made me a fan of hers, but it's not in my top 3 albums of the year, or even my top 3 TS albums. My album of 2022 is Fever Dreams Pts. 1-4 by Johnny Marr. I'd even vote Harry's House by Harry Styles or Return of the Dream Canteen by RHCP over Midnights.

Serving sizes are a scam. They're claimed to be for what the average person eats but the average person eats far more than what is on the package. Like take a thing of Ben and Jerry's. It is claimed to be 3 servings when most people would eat the entire thing in one sitting due to how small it is.

Weighing yourself at all isn't necessary. The number really isn't important.

You'll know you're losing weight by measures other than what the scale says.

The way you look. How your clothes fit. Your change in energy levels.

I was 272 pounds in May of 2023. I went to my gastro yesterday and I'm now 221.

The only time I go on scale is when I go to the doctor and they make me go on the scale.
I agree, I haven't weighed myself in over a year just out of curiosity, and not for about a year before that too. I used to daily so I understand the obsession, and it's unhealthy. I simply don't care anymore, I know what I'm doing is working and as long as I keep it up I can't fail, and fortunately it's really easy to keep it up.

I used to be upper 200s myself 12 years ago, but dropped to about 225 (all flab and no muscle mass) and stayed there for about 5 years because I barely ate and did light cardio all day as part of my job. Then I decided to eat even less because I didn't know what else to do - eating more to lose weight didn't really compute. I dropped down to about 185 (I'm 6'1" btw) and fought like hell to stay there when I got an office job. When I inevitably hit 195 I got scared of seeing 200 so I said maybe I need to do more cardio again. I got an exercise bike and rode it for years just to break even, meanwhile I was still depriving myself of food because I still didn't know. I remember going out to eat with my gf one day and sitting there watching her eat her ice cream for dessert. I actually broke down and started crying right there at the table because I got in my head about how I wish I could just eat whatever I wanted too.

Then I discovered strength training and did my homework on nutrition. I found out what someone with the physique I want to have eats and how he trains, and I gave it a shot. It worked beautifully. Exercise bike is gone, I eat way more than I ever used to, I've lost a ton of body fat and gained so much muscle tone. I used to resent having to ride that bike, and I was never content until I rode it each day, but now I look forward to training 6 days a week.

My nutrition is pretty clean and locked in, and here's what I found: the body wants to stay the same. One bad meal isn't going to hurt a body in good shape any more than one good meal is going to help a body in bad shape. Consistency is key. I have ice cream every once in a while, and I don't feel bad about it at all.

It's honestly not complex. Eat and drink better and less, and walk more.

Now, am I saying that it's easy? No. But if you're fat you're going to have to suffer a bit if you legitimately try to lose weight to undo accumulated problems.
This

It's not easy, but it's simple. And you didn't get the way you are overnight; you won't get the way you want to be overnight either. Just don't obsess over the number, stop weighing yourself daily, and stop staring at the peak of the mountain. The mountain climber doesn't stare up, he watches the steps ahead.

I've wasted so much time posting about how I made a similar (although less drastic) transformation as Tozawa so I won't go into detail yet again. But I got there because of Jeff Cavaliere. He changed my life and I only wish I could do the same for everyone else who feels like they're spinning their wheels like I was.

To the guy who came here all victimized and fat shamed, that's absolute horse shit. First of all, nobody was fat shaming. But fat acceptance, like someone else said, is only enabling people to be unhealthy. If you got fat then it's because food is available and you can afford to buy it. If you're eating enough to get fat, you're fueling your body enough to be able to work out, and you can work out anywhere, not only the gym. Body weight exercises are more than enough to get you in shape. It takes so much less time than most people realize, you just have to be consistent. Cut the crap.

I bought Skyrim twice I think, then bought the anniversary upgrade or whatever it was. I'll count it as 2.5 times, I'm not sure if those upgrades count as a sale technically.

I bought RE4 OG twice, once when it came out on GameCube and then again when ported to PS3 (by then I hated the controls and didn't even play past the village). Then I bought the remake. So 3 times.

I'll never have a reason to buy either one again so there's that.

I also bought the PS2 GTA games 3 times, once originally, again ported to PS3, then the "definitive" edition collection. There are a couple of others I can probably say I've bought 3 times but I don't think I've ever bought a game more than that.

No regrets btw.

Well nobody has asked this yet but what's your nutrition like? It's just as important - if not more - than working out. You are what you eat and you can't outrun a bad diet. If you're eating poorly (maybe without realizing it) then it's going to slow you down.

I'll usually get up once, maybe twice to pee, but only if I've chugged water before I went to bed. I try not to do that but...

I drink a good amount of water, like 2/3 of a gallon a day (it's basically all I drink), but I try my best to spread that out well. If I drink too much at once I have to pee like every 20 minutes lol instead I learned to just drink about a mouthful every half an hour or so and that keeps me hydrated without overdoing it. If your pee is clear or barely yellow then you're peeing too much, but it also shouldn't be dark yellow either because then you're not peeing enough.
