Hockey isn't as popular as other sports so it can still get away with it. Also, I think fights in hockey are usually much more "structured" than fights in other sports. They can't really do anything other than hold onto each other and throw right hand haymakers or they'd fall over. But yeah, hockey has always had this element of shit talking and Enforcers and Goons.
