that's just my interpretation, but if you remember movies like Push or Jumper from the early 2000s, DmC kind of gave me the same feel (but with demons).

I guess, while original Dante was more anime-inspired, DmC Dante was more young-adult fiction inspired.

like, in the same vein as something like Twilight, Hunger Games, or a CW series.

I'm not saying one is preferable than the other, but I can see why people have their preferences.

I think both versions are pretty lame, but Donte at least made me laugh with his interaction with the succubus demon, with how ridiculous it was.

I laugh/smirk whenever I watch the scene.

I'll most likely end up watching, since I liked the other Deadpool movies, but this trailer reminded me how much I don't like Deadpool's character :/

I think Spike Lee can make some amazing movies, some of them being classics, but he also made some terrible ones.

Denzel Washington and Spike Lee are reuniting for their fifth film together the first since 2006s Inside Man. Apple Original Films and A24 are partnering on High and Low, which will be released theatrically by A24 before a global launch on AppleTV+.

The thriller, which starts production in March, is the English-language reinterpretation of Akira Kurosawas crime thriller of the same name. The 1963 film starring Toshiro Mifune was based on the Ed McBain novel Kings Ransom, which chronicles the ruin of a businessman following a ransom payment to kidnappers.

Developed and produced by A24, Escape Artists and Mandalay Pictures, High and Low features a script written by Alan Fox and Spike Lee.

As Apple is a co-financier on High and Low, this project will not be included in a recent multi-year deal that A24 brokered with competing streaming service Max last year, sources familiar with the movie said. The Max deal covers the pay one window for A24 releases, which is a term for the typical period when a film first hits cable or streaming after a theatrical release and paid video-on-demand.

The feature will be produced by Todd Black (Emancipation, The Equalizer films) for Escape Artists and Jason Michael Berman (Air, Nine Days) for Mandalay Pictures. In addition to directing, Lee will serve as executive producer through his 40 Acres And A Mule Filmworks. Mandalays Peter Guber will serve as executive producer, along with Juniper Productions Matthew Lindner, Chris Brigham, and Katia Washington. Mandalays Jordan Moldo is co-producing.

Lee and Washington previously collaborated on Mo Better Blues, Malcolm X, He Got Game and Inside Man. It also marks the latest project for Washington with Todd Black following collaborations on Fences, Ma Raineys Black Bottom and The Equalizer franchise.

This is Washingtons second collaboration with Apple Original Films following The Tragedy of Macbeth, also from A24, which landed Washington his 10th Oscar nomination for Best Actor.

Washington is represented by WME; Lee is represented by Gersh and Grubman Shire Meiselas & Sacks; Fox is represented by Grandview.

I didn't really talk to him outside of the act two related stuff, but in act 3 *heavy spoilers* after Orin kidnaps him and you save him, he tried to hook up with the character I was playing*

I was like, "...nah"

anyway, I like all of the main companions, but my main three have always been: Astarion, Lae'zel, and Shadowheart.

Halsin seems kind of annoying, though, so I never really used him.

I also wasn't able to get any of the later companions in my first playthrough, so I'll try to be extra careful the next time I have a chance.

I liked it; it felt like a unique take on the character.

and despite what people might feel about TDKR, I thought that Tom Hardy did really well as Bane, overall.

You can also potentially get Minthara if she doesn't die during Act 1.

for this one, you have to get her to be "temporarily hostile", and you can do that by stealing in front of her, and starting a fight from that. then you have to knock her out (you can make it so your melee attacks aren't fatal)...then you can save her when you're at Moonrise

but yea, great series.

my only real issue with it is what happened with Griffith's character, after, you know, and the chapters focusing on him later in the series got to be pretty old.

I say that as someone who had Griffith as their favorite character.

I kind of liked Kazuo just because he was amoral, and could have easily been more heroic, but determined all of his major decisions based on a coin flip.

a more dramatic reboot, like Bel-Air (I really liked the first season, but haven't seen the second), could work, IMO.
