People often assume Im 10-15 years younger than my actual age when they first see me. Im 35 so it is partially a positive (not looking like a worn out ghoul) but it can also be a negative in professional settings since some people are less likely to listen to someone they think is young regardless of the content of what the person is saying. Ive been called mature for my age once lmao.

What's your favorite winning song?
There have been many great ones over the years but if I gotta choose one then Ill go with Euphoria from 2012. We Swedes has been doing poorly for a couple years and suddenly we got this amazing song which swept everyone by storm. So the song holds a special place in my heart.

Insieme from 1990 is an older song I still listen to. I was 1 year old then it won so its a song I discovered later.

Do you have a favourite?

i had no idea we ever sent out a song that wasn't in english, let alone won with one

especially considering that nowadays that would be virtually impossible.
We primarily sent songs in Swedish between 1958-1998 actually. Waterloo is one of few Swedish songs with English lyrics during that time frame.

And we could win with Swedish lyrics if we send a great song with it, I believe so. Because the winners of 2022, 2021 and 2017 did not have English lyrics for example :D

There are a bunch of countries with zero wins.

Cyprus, Malta and Iceland have competed the longest without winning (something around 40-50 years ). Those three island nations have all come 2nd though.

Spain hasnt won since 1969 and France not since 1977.

Yeah. And it wouldnt surprise me if the Israelis did this in several countries. Cuz you just gotta get the most votes to get 12 points from the televote in a country. Even if it just is 1 more vote than the runner-up.

I never understood why Israel got to be in it to begin with.
They're not European
Eurovision isnt some charity or similar. It is a TV-show thats owned by a TV-organisation called the EBU. Israel has been a full fledged member of the EBU since 1957 so them being allowed to join the show back in the day makes total sense.

Zikten posted...
Its crazy that Russia gets banned (a good thing) but they won't ban Israel. For the same war crimes. 2 nations treated very differently
It is a bs reason but the EBU argue that the Israeli broadcaster who handle Israels EBU membership has complied with the EBU:s rules unlike the Russian broadcaster.

Israel came 2nd in the televote but their song is doing poorly on charts and streaming compared to multiple other entries. The songs that score high in the televote tend to become commercial hits and this is true for the other songs that did well in the televote this year but not really for Israels song.

There are theories of Israeli vote stuffing with coordinated voting campaigns and hiring people to vote. You can vote up to 20 times per SIM card in Eurovision.

Israel did also buy ad space in tons of countries with the vote for us message.

The jurors seem to have predicted this because they tanked the Israeli entry, despite it being a jury bait song.

Makes me think of FFX were some overdrives, weapons and armor are stupidly OP and others are flat out useless

Wakka - Attack Reels, Break Damage Limit, Evade and Counter, Auto-Haste

Lulu - Flare Fury, Icetouch, SOS Regen
It is somewhat a similar thing but in this case it needing to stack her with specific materia to be able to do anything at all. Even using an item require an ATB charge and her ATB bar fills up super slow compared to the other characters. So you kinda need to stack her with the different ATB-boosting materia like First Strike. She also need HP plus materia and defense plus materia if you want her to survive anything. And different materia so she actually can do some damage.

Xerun posted...
Use the wards.

Arcane Ward is great.

and the 3rd Ward which Ive forgotten the name changes her regular attack and makes her fairly great.

plus teleporting
As I wrote in the OP, she has potent abilites (like the wards) but getting enough ATB to set everything up with her takes way too long. Using other characters gets the job done long before shes there.

I LOVE the battle system in general but it is based around quick fighting and ATB charges and she doesnt really fit in the system Square has set up. Especially against fast bosses like The Turks.

I love Aeriths personality and as a character however.

pegusus123456 posted...
The first thing you have to do with Aerith is get Radiant Ward up. Her ATB generation is not bad if she's standing in that.

My larger issue is that it's pretty tough to get synergy attacks with her. Once you set up the wards, you don't really want to be using any of her weapon abilities, you want to be casting spells.

Or maybe that if you aren't the one actively controlling a character, they earn dogshit for ATB. But controlling a character is also a soft-taunt and she folds like a deck of cards, so it's tough to do that.

I'm still not sure exactly what my favored party set-up is tbh. It started off being Aerith and Red, but Red has started to fall off a little just because I don't block very much. Yuffie would probably be in there because Doppleganger is broken. I've read that you can do some crazy things with the Synergy Materia with her too.
Yuffie has several super overpowered moves if you know when to use them: Dopplegnger, changing the elemental affinity of Ninjutsu and combining that with Banishment, Windstorm, Blind side and Art of War. She can do both physical and magical damage, close up or ranged. Boost her durability with gear and materia and shes insane.
