Honestly, would the MAGA crowd even care if Trump ended up being very directly implicated in the Epstein stuff? Heck have him directly participate in human trafficking and I don't really thing any of his supporters would even accept it.

We've been at the point where conservatives basically don't need to face consequences if they don't want to (for years now), I don't think Trump being incriminated would even really hurt him.

I don't think so.

TFA hit a lot of the same beats as A New Hope, but also made it abundantly clear that it was going off in a different direction. Rey's character is not at all Luke's, and her flaws aren't the same as Luke's. Kylo Ren is absolutely not Darth Vader, and all of these things will be going in a different direction. Because for whatever reason, we needed to have Han Solo back, and Luke Skywalker back and Leia back, it kind of makes sense to take all of these characters, and have them carry similar beats as during their movies, while leading into new things for our new characters.

Though, given Disney chickened out and ended the series with a bad rehash and throwing away all of the interesting things TFA and TLJ tried to set up, I wouldn't blame anyone for thinking Force Awakens is just a cheap nostalgia grab.

One of the biggest issues in failing your G2 can be summed up as not checking your mirrors/blind spots/etc... obviously enough, and therefore losing points for it. It only takes like 5 points off to fail, so it's an easy way people lose out.

Go to your next test with a baseball cap, or if you have long enough hair, tied up in like a ponytail.

Otherwise, it's not really something to get that worried over. Practice your parallel parking and your three point turns, make sure to turn the wheels "uphill" and put the parking brake on when you stop, etc...

Persian is low-key actually a really good pokemon in Gen I. It has the high speed stat and a move like slash that means it gets to a like 255/256 crit rate based on the weird way crits are determined in those games.

But In terms of cool, Scyther is easily the best one on either list.

If its the latter, ehh, the website was never that good on its own.

I said 7, but I think 8 is also perfectly acceptable.

It's 100% a completely unrelated movie that got a "DC" skin slapped onto it, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing.

There are a couple great moments, but really Joaquin Phoenix is absolutely carrying the whole movie, and you can tell the movie isn't that great around him.

Edge had his whole miraculous comeback, so his run in AEW is just kind of... more Edge. Like its fine, but I'm not going out of my way to go watch AEW for him. I don't really want to see Edge as a top star in 2024. I wanted to see Edge as a top star in 2004 and now I want new guys at the top. Not that AEW doesn't have quite a few of those, but I'm not super interested in going out of my way to see Edge anymore.

AEW is long past the point where bringing in a new name will really change things, so Edge and Christian being there just isn't really as big a deal as if they were the only big names hanging around there.

A shame, because every time I bother checking out AEW, everyone is doing great stuff, I just don't really care enough to go as out of my way as I have to to watch AEW without cable. It just isn't keeping me engaged, so I kind of just stop trying to keep up.

Washington state implemented a capital gains tax on profits over 250k in a year.

Shouldn't Bezos still need to pay it then? He might not for his 2025 taxes considering he'll have moved, but he spent 2023 in Washington, so he should pay the capital gains tax regardless of where he moves? Heck, even next year, he's probably made over 250k in profits already, meaning he'd still have taxes to pay Washington for the 2 month's he's lived there this year.

Or I might just be totally misunderstanding this whole topic.

I have a watch 4 that's pretty good. I don't really have much to compare it to besides my previous Samsung Smartwatch, and even then its kind of negligible the difference from my Galaxy Watch Active. Though tbh I think I'm not really the kind of person to get that much out of a smartwatch to begin with.

The battery barely lasts like 2 days, which is common for smartwatches, but is also a problem because I will repeatedly pick it up, having forgotten to charge it so it won't make it through the day. But that's more of a me problem than a watch problem.

It's an early access, open world, survival crafting game. There's dozens of other games like it on steam. The only differentiator is that it's got enslavable not!pokemon to industrialize your crafting. The game was always going to be a flash in the pan. I'm more interested to see what the game will be like when they decide it's no longer early access.

It also kind of looks like slop due to mixing and matching a ton of random assets together. It doesn't mesh together the way you should actually want a game to, which makes it look cheap and uninteresting.

It's only like a few weeks, but it looks like it's still going pretty strong. The claims of "pokemon killer" have pretty much completely shut down, which is really the biggest reason there was so much discussion about this game to begin with.

It'll be more interesting to see what happens in like, a few months. When the hype completely moves on to other things and there's reason to stop caring. Like after the hype died out on stuff like Hogwarts Legacy.

PS4 dominating X-Box One made kinda made sense, but why is this happening? Isn't Series X the cheaper console?

Mad-Dogg posted...
Another reason is because of just how much console gamers bought a PS4 compared to a xbox one these same gamers wanted to carry over all their PS4 game purchases to the PS5. This mattered a lot at the start of the new console generation since it took a bit for even more native PS5 and series s/x versions of games to show up. Also, free PS5 upgrades to a lot of those PS4 games PS4 owners already owned. Free nioh 2 uograde?....hell yeah I'll take that.

Xbox also had a bunch of games with the free next-gen update IIRC, but this is definitely a big reason. Microsoft kind of **** the bed with the XBone launch, and couldn't really recover, so the PS4 absolutely dominated that generation. And since last gen was also the gen where most people and companies started shifting to digital purchases, and both PS5 and Series consoles have backwards compatibility, most people aren't even gonna think about changing consoles this gen.

Sort of downstream effects of Xbox losing last gen is basically guaranteeing a loss this gen.

Don't stretch yourself out so thin. They've introduced way too many characters only to not use them afterwards. Focus on a small group and do more avengers movies = instant good content. We also need X-Men now.

This so much. The whole problem isn't even random niche characters, its having all of these random niche characters that either don't come back or don't really tie in with anything else. The Guardians of the Galaxy were able to stand out because they were basically the only ones way out ****ing about in space.

The whole selling point of the MCU was it being so big, but ironically they need to shrink it back down.

If I had to pick one other than the Panda one I really hate it would be the episode where Homer frames Marge for drunk driving so that the won't lose his license. I think that goes too far even for Homer and I don't remember the episode even having many good jokes to redeem it.

The awkward teen seasons are definitely the worst Simpsons - they sort of lost their identity from the 90s to stuff like South Park or Family Guy, and were really struggling to find a new identity.

I'd also say the one where Marge r***s Homer as a bad episode from around this time.

The show will end. 14 Simpsons-related Spinoffs will start production starring completely unrelated people where Disney tries to strip any bit of heart the show has managed to hang on to in the last 30 years. Matt Groening and anyone else involved with the original show will be left on read.

Like the guy who made Spongebob really didn't want silly spin offs about them being kids or whatever, Nick waited for him to die and then proceeded to do exactly that.

The entire concept of Football is to have something on in the background while you hang out with friends and whatnot.

It's slow enough you don't need to completely focus on it while you hang out with your buds and drink, and is occasionally fast enough it's always a topic you guys can jump to.

The Super Bowl takes this, and then adds this whole additional level of spectacle to it with commercials and the half time show etc... that makes it feel like a can't-miss event, even if you don't care about Football otherwise.

Well yeah, that's how a trial works.

It sounds like the whole situation was a genuine accident, so I'd be surprised if Baldwin is actually deemed guilty. Its a pretty uphill climb to suggest the movie production was behaving so unsafely something like this would be bound to happen, which would be necessary to actually incriminate Baldwin for this.
