My card shop is doing the Pride Commander event tomorrow where every legendary creature has partner. I ripped apart an old precon I had and turned it into a Vanille and Fang deck. If I can meld into Ragnarok even one time I'll be happy.

Did a draft today and got a showcase Emet-Selch, it's pretty nice. Also picked up one of the Cloud binders, just need a Sephiroth one now too.

Did another ten pull since my last one wasn't satisfactory. Got a 1 star Espeon and a shiny Kirlia. Have 51/69 of the set.

Did 11 packs this morning and had my worst ten pull ever. Every card was three diamond and below except for a Snorlax ex.

Was hoping to try Jusant so glad to see it's free. D4 is interesting too, may try that.

Checking what doesn't get back to you is certainly an indicator but also seeing what does make it back to you. If you're seeing a lot of white cards passed to you from a certain direction, it could mean that people there are fighting over other colours. If you're three picks into a second pack and you see a bomb passed to you, it also indicates that that colour may not be popular on that side of the table.

You can change the filter to any specific game.

I think it would be hard to have every playable character get a card from a balance perspective. That said, I don't think Amarant even get a cameo in any card arts, not even in the ensemble one in You're Not Alone.

Yea, I definitely feel it a bit. If they do Gen 2 I'll probably get pulled back in a bit more but right now I'm just cracking packs.

I opened up two Cids in 47 packs. Might be easier to buy them than to open them.

I think you should trade me your Vivi or Buster Sword for my Zell.

Meanwhile I'm sitting here with two Zells and no Vivis.

The vertical ones are of the showcase character cards and those all look very cool.

A lot of casual players really like the art cards. There was a guy in played during my prelease and he said he didn't really play Magic but he wanted the cards. FF9 was his favourite so I gave him a Zidane art card I got and he was so happy.

Managed to pull this when I grabbed 3 packs from GameStop with my points. Actually came with another Mythic in the pack too which I didn't know was possible (Clive base). All 3 packs had a showcase in too (just uncommons) plus 2 had art cards. Which is more Mythics, Showcases and Art cards than I got from my bundle box

Yea Play Boosters can have up to four rares/mythics in them. Very rare for that to happen but it's possible.

Am I supposed to cut these big versions of the commander out of the box? They look too shiny to throw away. I've heard commander decks are supposed to come with two copies of the commander but I don't see anything else

The old Commander decks had an oversized one and a regular one. Some other ones have a thicker card and a regular card. The Final Fantasy ones just have the one commander.

Yea once you start brewing Commander decks you only stop when you run out of money.

In general most of the commander decks are playable. They've done a good job recently. You're not gonna be winning tournaments with them but they'll be good for casual play assuming you're not playing against complete tryhards.

Most people play commander nowadays but depending on your local scene they may play other formats. Jumpstart is a weird one though, that specific format isn't common to play. People use those cards in other formats though.
