JD is more of a straight man in season 1 and the Janitor was originally meant to be a figment of his imagination, which is why he only interacts with JD the first season. In season 2 they scrapped that and made him a regular part of the hospital. Also JD becomes more of the feminine nerd we know and love as it goes on. Once Elliot goes through her transformation and changes her hair/personality (My American Girl episode I think) the show is off to the races.

NOTE: Yes. Of course. Both are terrible. Neither one should be downplayed and its not a suffering competition. Im just asking which do you personally have an easier time dealing with. For me its depression. Not giving a shit about anything and just laying there is much more of a relief than never being able to sleep or relax or slow my brain down when I have anxiety. I fucking hate that so much. Also not a fan of the specials format either, just make a movie or dont make a movie. Just have separate episodes of the kids being kids and getting caught up in funny situations, with the adults as supporting cast.
