SA:O would be an S-tier anime if Kirito weren't a Marty-Stu all the time, because there is some really good writing, interesting sci-fi elements, and some very intense character moments. Just tone down how great he is at everything and how when Kirito is not on screen everyone should be asking "where is Kirito" - and the show goes from A to S tier.

I hated that character so much, I thought he was so unrealistically incompetent, they lost me... he's a mix of vanity, stupidity, and inconsistent levels of sanity and random personality type depending on the episode.

I mean to be honest, I like all versions of Kelly Clarkson, she's so wholesome and cute - totally woulda been all over chubby KC in a heartbeat!

Yes, there are an infinite number of shops that sell the products I wanted in the general area that I can probably guess their hours. This is a superior approach.

All of this is way easier than listing daily hours of operation on a website that already lists closing times and real time open or closed indicator.

Yeah... because I can plan out a before work stop by wasting gas and making an extra trip now... way more convenient and cost effective than looking it up online!

This is an odd thing with search results and various websites, they really don't want to give you opening time or full store hours.

All they want you to know if if the store is open now, and when it closes. Why do many businesses and search features online not want to tell you the full operating schedule?

I wonder what bizarre manipulative algorithm study told corporate big tech America they should stop making comprehensive store hours hard to find online... because I'd bet a thousand bucks that's why.

I actually agree that it was overplayed for how one sided it was.

I know it actually builds the foundation for Naruto's desire to redeem his foes rather than destroy them, but you never really see the payoff expressed that way - It's really just a broad fan theory that mostly tracks.

I loved the Knight of Lodis on GBA, but this remake looks so bland and low effort in the presentation that those old 32 bit sprites look better.

I feel like actual instrumentation in pop music was replaced by synthetic composition long ago. Like, there are still a few prominent pop artists who actually play instruments but I don't think it's anything like the 80s or 90s where like 1 in every 4 solo acts or "lead" singers in a group played an instrument regularly.

It's not just that, it's that bands in "rock" were the mainstay of pop for most of the last three quarters of a century, and rock features more musicianship with band members often writing their own music.

Some purely pop artists wrote their own music like Neil Diamond, but most have music written for them, and those songs tend to be built around a vocal performance or simple musical hooks.

I hate Monopoly because it's a game of luck. Once you have two players that understand the basic rules and strategies, the entire thing is who gets better dice rolls.

Risk I have bad memories of an older brother that insisted we play without me knowing all the rules and quickly become completely uninterested in ever playing again.

Digital photography is just a tool. What happens is that it makes things much easier and the process faster and cheaper than analog editing, so there's often less thought and care that goes into shots - "We'll fix it in post" instead of insisting on getting the shot right in camera.

To be fair, the whole current anti-vax movement is a mess of grifters, weird religious types, and misinformed conservatives with main character syndrome.

For me it's drag shows. I consider myself a LGBTQ+ supporter, I personally know people who participate in the drag scene, I've been to drag shows, and I have absolutely never understood what the big deal is. I don't find anything about it particularly entertaining or appealing.

Don't worry TC, your corporate tech overlords will be okay without people defending the outright theft of the ingenuity and creativity of individual human artists, they already get to exploit the labor and profit endlessly from the work of those artists now... with AI you can just eliminate underpaying them and steal the essence of their work with sophisticated software.

Eggman sounds stupid, like they just changed his name because his body was generally egg shaped, while Dr. Robotnik was a clever name that implied he made robots but also sounds like a comical mad scientist name.

Is that because men's brains are superior, or because men have been socialized and marketed to take up these kinds of hobbies and women are not - so therefore the pool of competitors among men is much, much larger and likely to be have a larger number of skilled competitors?
