Diversity is a good thing when written properly, as long as you aren't just playing ethnic bingo for the sake of it, it's not that hard to write good fiction with characters that represent various experiences.

I've been watching movies recently, and I noticed a really strange trend that's got me scratching my head.

I must have been missing this the whole time, but every movie made after 2005-2006 era has Paul Rudd in it. He's in every movie, even if just as a cameo. Go ahead, put in your favorite movie from after that era and you'll see him in it.

Answer: Because unique ideas flop. It's too much of a risk, especially when theater attendance is so low, so they stick with familiarity. They have a greater audience through streaming, which is flourishing creatively (despite being understandably pricey).

It's a series of reasons that include particular head of studios, the way we consume media, the end of the era of movie stars, international markets, and more.

Yes, and once you get past the practical stuntwork, I didn't even think it looked that good. The OG Mad Max movies world looked so gritty and dirty and worn down and lived in. This looked hot and sandy, but not as gritty and lived in.

I always get shit for this one, but Mad Max Fury Road is terrible start to finish.

Dunno, I guess I know little about NASA beyond their desire to push the final frontier. and while I view it as highly interesting(see my username for my opinion on outer space), I think we should fully focus on fixing earth before worrying about Mars

Ahh... well the thing about science is that it's not singularly focused, especially for an organization so broad as NASA. They provide valuable research into a lot of technology that benefits life here on earth as well as adding to the body of human knowledge.

I'd say NASA, along with the Post Office are examples of our government doing things that benefit society and are well worth the taxpayer investment.

It's a good thing your leaders are generally smart enough to understand the research and development benefits of NASA for things like military weapon development...but they know such nuance is lost on their base, they just need you to be screaming at fake nonsense like making science and scientists a hated foe to distrust.

It is highly anti-consumer.

Our media and their parent companies are far more invested in running ads for the phone manufacturers and carriers than they are in doing consumer advocacy and awareness.

So we won't see much pushback.
