Just do whatever you gotta do to stay the course. A buddy of mine died in his 30s from liver failure due to his alcoholism. I worked with him for a while and he would start drinking gin early in the morning before work. He finally kicked it and got sober for a while because his doctor told him he was going to die, but I guess he must've relapsed

I have never aspired to happiness. The pursuit of "happiness" as a concept has been one of the greatest causes of unhappiness in all of human history. People who feel they're not "happy enough" just make themselves more miserable.

I pursue "contentment". And I am content.

Yeah, modern western society (especially america) is obsessed with the idea that we need to be happy all the time and that something's wrong if you aren't. There are a full range of emotions and life isn't just about chasing your personal happiness at all cost

A true socialist (a.k.a. left-wing) would never vote for a liberal like Biden, let alone one who actively supports genocide. When will people realize that voting for the lesser evil is only helping the rigged system stay in place? Fight for voting reform, that's the only way to make your country become a democratic one.
