Dude could have made 500 MILLION dollars if he was pumping and dumping but he didn't sell anything.
If by Jun 21 GME goes under $25 he gets 0 ZERO he gets no money.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PPiZNXXbHkg

Now consider if the biggest buyer you would assume didn't sell, how does the stock keep going down? Answer is new shorts are being made.

And here is the kicker

Shorting it to get it under $25 is lucrative because it makes money off this guy not getting anything ever from his options

or perhaps I can explain it this way

let's say him posting that he bought these calls made GME go to $300

he don't have the stock yet, but he could exercise

however, what if as soon as he exercises it all goes back down?

you call it a pump and dump, this isn't how you do a pump and dump

but what he did is what people do everyday and shouldn't draw so much ire.
the fact that it has means there is something else here JUST LIKE THERE WAS WHEN GME SQUEEZED (note not saying this means any price action just saying there is something shady factually going on; even GME opponents admit etrade should LOVE to have this guy on their platform it would be a dream come true to absorb these young investors....and YET)

it is a FACT that GME was so ridiculously overshorting the SQUEEZE was a real event that Melvin CEO himself said in a congressional hearing that is why the price spiked, because the short interest was too high

and yet people will try and act like that is not a fact

I think people are upset some internet dudes actually figured stuff out, makes them feel dumb I guess?

proof it is a fact: not from superstonk or my word but literal congressional hearing of the dude who lost money saying it:

Good, I hope he gets jail time. Classic pump & dump.

You understand he didn't buy the stock yet right?

He bought the future ability to buy the stock.

His future move would not be to dump but he would then buy the stock.

You guys literally have no idea what a pump and dump is it seems.
@iGenesis

The bigger subtext here is that e-trade likely doesn't have the stock to give to him when he exercises his right to buy

Didnt Treytrades get sued along with the CEO of AMC?

AMC was sued for rigging the vote NOT in favor of the investors

https://www.reuters.com/legal/amc-meme-investors-face-off-court-over-stock-conversion-2023-06-28/

The company was sued in February for allegedly rigging a shareholder vote that would allow AMC to convert preferred stock to common stock and issue hundreds of millions of new shares.
The conversion would dilute the common stockholders' ownership, but allow AMC to pay down some of its $5.1 billion in debt.
AMC has told investors it is burning cash at an unsustainable rate and warned that an inability to raise capital could force the company into bankruptcy.
It cannot carry out its plan to do so until the litigation has been resolved. Objections to class action settlements are rare but the court received more than 2,800 objections to the agreement.

Also to note a difference between GME and AMC.

GME no longer has debt.
It infact now has a surplus of capital in the billions range.
Billion in cash on hand as it is called.

Because if they punish him they will have to do these others and that can't happen.

But the tactic is to scare scare scare.
The idea is they think GME cultists will be scared if they throw around the idea of taking down roaringkitty, Seems out of touch.

You can both pay property taxes to the govt for land, while still owning the property is my point.

You basically have no choice or you lose your house, so..yes?
But it shouldn't be this way. There are other ways to do taxes. Issue is those ways effect the very wealthy more than the poor.
This way effects the poor more which is why it is often considered to be sooo good.

It also helps the wealthy because it frees up prime real estate they can afford and displaces that family elsewhere increasing all real estate.

Fyi if you got a lot of money you can throw it in the bank for a return higher than your mortgage and property taxes.
Rich can do this poor cannot.
To the rich this tax barely exists.
So they love it.

Bro, you're the one that wants to increase property taxes ONLY on multiple home owners, who would be the ones renting property to low income people. And those landlord would then pass on those cost increases to the renters.

And I'M the one who supports feudalism? Lol.

Yes. Because we own land we buy not the government.
They cannot enter the property without a warrant. Even that is more or less an agreement about lethal force than their actual right to enter.
If you rent they can do whatever the fuck they want. The right of property is Fundamental to the American government.

The suggestion we should all rent from the government is Fedualism.

Yep. There's families in New York that are having to sell their home of 3 generations because they can't afford the tax. It's bullshit. Property taxes should only be applied to things that aren't primary residences.

But the wealthy don't like that. They flipping all these homes makimg moolah and don't want to have to pay more. "Make the families suffer!"

And what is worse is these families forced to leave will raise the price of some other neighborhood.
It all goes up and never stops.

the irony is that buy forcing property tax you actually force the sell of a house that went from say $30,000 to multi-millions to hit the market because of the unaffordable tax to people whose lifestyle literally didn't change but now they have to move

"oh good it hits the market!" actually not good. the sell will further increases the prices as it is bought up by some investment company

you also then displace these people who will take the proceeds and seek a cheaper area and push those prices up

Also of note was NBC edited out his full 10 minute speech from the livestream.
This was noted by Dennis himself on Better Markets:

March 23, 2021
CNBC Posts Edited Video from House Financial Services GameStop Hearing, Deleting Dennis Kellehers Key Testimony Criticizing Citadel

CNBC Posts Edited Video from House Financial Services GameStop Hearing,
Deleting Dennis Kellehers Key Testimony Criticizing Citadel
Washington, D.C. Dennis M. Kelleher, President and Chief Executive Officer of Better Markets, issued the following statement in response to revelations that CNBC omitted one key part of the recent U.S. House Financial Services Committee (HFSC) hearing on GameStop and related issues. CNBCs deleted footage included Kellehers call for the Financial Stability Oversight Council (FSOC) to examine whether to designate Citadel Securities (Citadel) as systemically important, given the firms substantial presence throughout the U.S. equities and options markets. Such a designation, if made, would subject Citadel to substantial additional regulatory scrutiny.
A side-by-side comparison of CNBCs incomplete version of the hearing and the official complete version released by the U.S. House Financial Services Committee confirms this deletion: Compare the video posted by HFSC (includes Kellehers full comments on the need to carefully scrutinize Citadel) with the video posted by CNBC (which abruptly cuts off Kellehers comments and inexplicably jumps ahead approximately 10 minutes).
CNBC always rolls out the welcome mat for Citadel and its founder Ken Griffin, but rarely, if ever, is any criticism of them ever allowed on CNBC. That is not by accident; that is an editorial decision to only present one side of these key issues facing the country related to our financial markets and the economy. We do not know if that is the reason CNBC posted an edited version of the video of the House Financial Services Committees March 17 GameStop hearing or if it is a remarkable coincidence. We do know that, out of more than four hours of the hearing, CNBC deleted a part in the middle of the hearing that included the most direct, pointed criticism of Citadel.
Specifically, I testified that FSOC should review Citadels wide-ranging activities in the financial markets to determine if it should be designated and regulated as a systemically significant nonbank. Citadel is a gigantic, interconnected financial firm, but it is non-transparent and unregulated in critical respects, preventing effective oversight and accountability. Thats why it is vital for Main Street Americans and retail investors to know whether or not it is a systemically significant firm, whether it poses a threat to the financial system and economy, and whether it should be regulated more comprehensively. CNBCs viewers, however, would not know those critical issues were pointedly discussed at the hearing or deleted from the video CNBC posted. CNBC should immediately restore the deleted parts of the video.
To hear Kellehers concerns about Citadels substantial presence in the financial markets without the regulatory oversight necessary to protect investors and markets, visit this link. However, Kellehers following comments, directly responding to a Republican witnesss unqualified defense of Citadel, during the hearing capture the essence of his concerns:
If Citadel shut down today, even for a day, that means 26 percent of all U.S. equities volume in 8,900 listed securities would stop. It executes 47 percent of all U.S. listed retail volume. It represents 99 percent of the traded volume of 3,000 listed options. To say that the system would work perfectly fine if all that evaporated today and competitors would come into the marketthat may ultimately happenbut until it ultimately happens, youre going to have a systemic event. And to deny that is to deny reality.
Here is the official recording from HFSC, and here is the recording posted by CNBC. For more information on Citadel, refer to this Better Markets Citadel Fact Sheet and this Payment For Order Flow Fact Sheet.
Better Markets is a non-profit, non-partisan, and independent organization founded in the wake of the 2008 financial crisis to promote the public interest in the financial markets, support the financial reform of Wall Street and make our financial system work for all Americans again. What did he say?

If Citadel shut down today, even for a day, that means 26 percent of all U.S. equities volume in 8,900 listed securities would stop. It executes 47 percent of all U.S. listed retail volume. It represents 99 percent of the traded volume of 3,000 listed options. If something, say GME poses risk to Citadel because they are idiots, then that something poses risk to 26% of all USA securities.
Facts like this makes some APES wonder if the glitch yesterday was not a glitch.
