What is the story coming out of that encounter at the end of Last Jedi? It is the story of Luke Skywalker encountering the First Order in all its power as it tried to kill the Resistance. He faced down an army without a scratch. He then faced Kylo Ren, the LEADER of the First Order, and basically made him look like a clown. Then his Padawan saved the Resistance and escaped, while Luke escapes like a f***ing magician. Luke helped to solidify the myth of Luke Skywalker and The Jedi forever... giving hope to the galaxy in the face of totalitarian dictatorships. If the mythical Luke Skywalker can save the day, there is hope for the galaxy still.
