yep 8gb is not going to cut it for these heavy games from here on and not when most of the gaming devs keep using UE which sucks and RT gimmick being pushed into games more and more

That's subjective really, the game is pretty unforgiving and if you're not particularly good at platformers this game is down right openly disrespectful of your time.

It is a well done game, but I wouldn't say this is a game for everyone to enjoy by any stretch. I love it so far, despite a few companies, but yeah.

I didn't say that everyone would like it, I was just responding to the guy who said it sounds like shit. It is objectively not shit, by any marker of how a game should be made.

im not really inspired to play hollow knight at all based upon silksong's response. i own HK just never got around to playing it.

In the real world, Silksong is an incredible game that is very fun and costs $20.

The bleach filler has to be some of the worst in all anime, it really does a great job of undoing any kind of aura the characters have built up until that point.

There's very little "development" in Silksong over hollow knight, and I don't mean that in a bad way. If you played one game after the other and no one told you which came first, you'd have a hard time guessing which was the sequel.

Silksong is harder and more complex though, so I think hollow knight is where you should start. Also it's just an excellent game, there's no point in skipping over it.

I understand this question when it's like "should i start at witcher 3 or do I need to play all of them", because on the one hand the lore is so tied in together and on the other hand the older witcher games are very dated at this point.

But hollow knight/silksong? These games could have been developed side by side, you can't really tell that one is newer.

I will say the bird arena was hell

I seem to remember witcher 3 tried a thing where you chose how the story started at the beginning of the game, based on the choices you made in witcher 2.

I dont know if that worked or not, for me it was just super confusing because I hadn't played those games. Theres something to be said for them just picking a narrative and going with it.

This is scotland though. Some things are better here.

Common complaints im hearing

- very hard at points. Basic enemies doing double damage, brutal arena gauntlets, some bosses are insane
- economy is bullshit

Silksong and hollow knight are just incredible achievements by themselves, for many different reasons. A total triumph and a fuck you to bloated AAA studios.

Germany had a population of around 80 million people when the nazis rose to power. I don't believe for a second that they all just woke up one morning and had a bloodlust for putting jewish people in gas chambers. Knowing nothing about it and coming in blind, I watched the trailers for both the original and the sequel.

I don't get it? It just looks like a really bland generic Metroidvania? Why is this game being put so high on a pedestal? Why are people losing their minds about what just looks like a small game? IMO it just looks like they took Metroid Dread and changed the art.

You just have to play it dude. It's one of those "more than the sum of its parts" things.

Katamari Damacy was so wonderfully weird, this looks like it has the same spirit.

I cant decide if I should get it on switch. Unsure how well it will run, if its worth seeing it in 4k

I've never finished Subnautica. I played it on PC in VR but for some reason, there is a point where the controller stops responding and only K/M works (which is a bit awkward to use in VR).
