Literally speaking its almost never the case. People live in bedrooms, not basements - unless its a basement converted to a bedroom.

True, but like other vaccines there's a slim chance for a small amount of people to have adverse reactions to it.

Adverse reactions from vaccines do not manifest as getting sick more often.

Instead of immediately disregarding and attacking any discussion, it would be better to keep an open mind

Someone get the bingo card.

a woman has cancer (if the story itself is true) but the first thought is to jeer and mock

Yeah, someone definitely get the bingo card.

And it's more likely he gets a heavy fine, an ankle monitor for a while and community service. They tend to be pretty lenient on non violent crime here unless you get unlucky with a hard as nails judge.

Yeah, any time a story says they could get 15 years you should look a little closer. Thats likely the maximum amount under legislation but most reasonable legal systems dont hit people with the max sentence unless theyre a repeat offender and have other aggravating factors.

Though this guy apparently is a repeat offender as per post 7, but I still doubt hed get the max.

If not for my fathers condition, I would not have taken any of the vaccines. Could be a coincidence but ever since I've got them I get sick way more often too

It is 175% a coincidence.

What's that got to do with anything? Have you ever met cave men, or people from the medieval ages, or seen real live dinosaurs? You learned about them though.

Lots of people deny dinosaurs too. And while Ive never seen cavemen denial specifically, their existence contradicts the Abrahamic religions so creationists likely deny them too.

Because theyre the type of people who need to invest parts of their identity in something external. Its not just OnlyFans. Look at Nintendo and Sony fanboys. Look at sports hooligans. Look at those who simp for the rich.

Shovelware taken to the next level. Now you dont even need to buy or pirate assets to flip on Steam Direct (and Greenlight before it). Now AI can do it for you. This was always going to happen.

Makes Big Rigs and Action 52 seem tragically quaint.

Maybe its a self-fulfilling prophecy kind of deal. By taking it, you live the rest of your life differently and end up, say

Plot twist: you take this deal and immediately fall asleep and die

Plot twist: Your death was already less than 5 years away, thus taking the deal reduces it to a negative number. Either that means it under flows to -128, -32768, or whatever the variable size is and you get to live that many more years to get back to 0 or the universe just implodes.

Yeah I have no issues with it. To me it doesn't come off like a WWII war movie. That's different.

Ah, so were talking the Murica! style of WW2 movie. Its the last war where the US could unequivocally be considered the good guys so it tends to be glorified. Video games are obsessed with it too.

Don't know. But I can say I have watched damn near every mini series or show HBO has put out since I was a kid and one of the only shows I never watched or had an interest in was Generation Kill and Band of Brothers. Never watched either one and I have had a ton of people absolutely rave about Band of Brothers to me.

I suppose what I was asking was how youd feel about something like Schindlers List, which I guess isnt even really a war movie.

If Mars is ever colonized by humanity, its first successful generation will have to actually be born there.

Even if we had the resources available right now to move all 8 billion of us to Mars, (and assuming it was already terraformed), only a fraction of a fraction of us are actually physically fit enough for space travel, and even then, only a literal handful of that tiny group are conditioned for it.

Theres a reason you need to be young and train for years to be an astronaut. So we can joke about how the super rich will go to Mars and leave us to die, but fortunately that cant and wont happen. Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, etc would all break in half on take off.

Those driving climate change are going to lie in the same coffin as the rest of us. Thats the only real good and comforting thing left in our future.

Detest the material being depicted or the concept of war movies itself?
