Only when I feel bad. As seriously as I take my health, I can't afford to just go in routinely. If I didn't live in America it would be different. As somebody who has had bad exoeriences with it, I'm almost as afraid of our healthcare system as I am of actually becoming unwell.

Caffeine is natural. There is absolutely nothing "insidious" about it.
Just because something is natural doesn't mean it can't be harmful to you. Having caffeine in excess has been scientifically proven to be bad for your heart. It is also highly addictive. Caffeine isn't poison or anything, but it's still wise to limit consumption of it.

I went through a tea phase when I was younger. Green and Earl Grey. Maybe I'll give it a try again.
Just remember that many teas, including those two, also have caffeine in them. Tty decaf or maybe some herbal teas? They have no caffeine.

Same. Drinking juice helped me get through the worse of the craving when I went off of soda, because it also has an unexpectedly high amount of sugar in it, but it's still slightly better for you. I just drank one juice until I got sick of it and moved on. Then I went to tea with honey, but I'm not a huge fan of honey's taste tbh, so soon enough I found myself drinking it without anything added. You'll go through a process of finding things to substitute the kick you got out of coffee, and it'll work out for the best so long as you keep at it. Eventually you may be able to reward yourself with some of "the forbidden content" (in your case, coffee) every once and a while because you will no longer be as dependent on it like you once were. Treat it like a diet with cheat days, because a little bit every now and then won't hurt you. Just space out the times you do have it more and more. It'll be worth it to feel healthier.

Sugar's harder, but switching to artificial sweeteners can help a bit with that, if you're careful.
Artificial sweetener is even worse for your body, though. That shit can really upset your stomach too. Try sweetening certain things with honey instead, if possible. Honey is only slightly better for you than sugar because it has more to it, but it should still be consumed in moderation.

Apple is an atrocious company. Just get a Samsung. So long as it can make calls and send texts, it will be a worthwhile phone to have. The only big difference is that iphones have better cameras. But everyone I know who has owned an iphone says that they seem to get buggy suspiciously over time. The planned obsolescence is atrocious. You can't really even get them repaired, so if anything happens to it you just have to buy a new one. That's what Apple wants. They're overpriced and overrated.

For the price of a single switch 2, which has only a few games for it right now, which is barely better than the og switch, which isn't even a good console to begin with - you could get like 15 dildos, some Wendy's, rent a movie off of Amazon, and still have money left over for a game from Steam. The latter option is clearly superior.

No, I'm a nihilistic asshole who's dead inside and who therefore cannot be emotionally shaken out of the dissociative stupor by pretty much anything these days, least of all a game console, which will serve only to remind me of what used to make me happy in days long past, but which fails to, thereby reminding me that I've changed. At times I wonder if I was ever happy back then. Maybe I was just pretending so that I didn't need to deal with the child abuse I had to suffer back then. Maybe it was genuine. Either way, I don't really want any reminders of a past that is honestly better left forgotten. I don't even want to enjoy myself as I either used to, or used to pretend to. In any case, I'm just too busy for video games these days. I have coding projects I've been slacking on. I have writing that must be done. I have a traumatic past haunting me, inhibiting my ability to function in the real world. I couldn't give less of a damn about whatever 'Next-New-Thing' comes my way, because everything just looks the damned same to me anyway. It's all a hassle to deal with. It's not worth the effort. Barely anything is these days.
Are you okay, man? Do you need to talk?

Thats rough. Are you in any kind of therapy or on any medications?
I've been in therapy for abouta month now. I'd say the buggest thing I've learned is that I'm too hard on myself. I always heard it from my loved ones, but hearing it from someone else is diffrent. It's actually nice to get the reassurance that I'm not as much of a failure as I feel and it's just me being mean to myself. At least that's what I've gleamed from it. Last time we did the "how me tally ill are you?" score thing I did a bit better, so I guess it's helping. I also don't think I've adjusted my depression meds since I was a kid (been on depression/anxiety meds for as long as I can remember) so I went back to my psychiatrist and I'm going to try another one that might help my ADHD too. I look forward to being more motivated and able to concentrate on things. Medicine is great but I have to get better at helping myself too. Lately I've been cheering myself up by journaling a bit. It's a good way to keep track of my day-to-day mood and the one I have gives me introspective exercises to try every week. I feel it's been helpful. I got it on Amazon https://tinyurl.com/d27y5v9z

I also listen to this band called Citizen Soldier. Apparently, it's members have all had mental health struggles and even met at a psychiatric hospital. The singer became a therapist and now they make songs from the point of view of people with different issues. It's really great and I reccommend it to anyone who has dealth with mental health issues before (that is, if you don't have reason to believe it will trigger you) because their lyrics are so tactful and well-worded. It's amazing just to hear it put so eloquently when it's something that's so difficult to describe to others. Listening to their music helps you realize that there are people who understand what you're going through. I've been listening to them for a few years and they actually released a new song that is finally "the song"; the one that really hit me and I identified with. I'll drop it here just because it's good music.

I do drink soda in moderation, though sugarless. This doesn't mean that there's no assault on your teeth at all, as it is still acidic, with artificial sweeteners to counter that. I don't take much stock in all the evils prescribed to artificial sweeteners, but there's no denying that the end result is still not exactly a health drink.
Sugarless soda is actually even worse for you because of the artificial sweetener they replace the sugar, particularly aspartame. If anything, finding soda with sugar but without high fructose corn syrup is better for you. That still doesn't take into account the acidity and preservatives, but at least sugar is just sugar...even if there's a lot of it.

Existential nihilism and LaVeyan satanism have kept me going.

Everyone dies and is forgotten eventually. The earth is millions of years old and will always continue to exist with or without us. We are entirely infinitesimal as a species and as individuals, so just what makes you happy and what you feel you need to do to become successful and content in your own eyes. Rebel against the dogmas that control you. Refuse to be under someone else's thumb. Take control of everything you can. Be an individual, be free. It's up to you to find your own meaning of life becasue there is no one answer. Remember that nothing truly matters in the end.

You bet your ass there's gonna be videos on it
