I think most people posting in here agree that this is scummy behavior and in a very literal definition of the word, it's a scam.

I think the debate here is whether or not this is a legally actionable scam, and I would say probably not. Don't know enough to say for sure though.

One of the most inherently likable defendants who isn't a major character. Easy to root for and want to defend.

Wendy Oldbag: 6/10

She's tough to rate because she becomes more flanderized with every appearance. She's good in 1-3 and 2-4, not as much anywhere else. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt here and rate her based on her best moments.

Jack Hammer: 4/10

Definitely one of the better pure victims in the series. His motivations and actions are all clearly laid out, and they're really the core of the case.

Penny Nichols: 4.5/10

She's close to a nothing character, but she at least has the card exchange scene going for her.

Sal Manella: 5.5/10

Yeah, he's gross, but I also find his 1337 speak pretty funny. ROFS indeed.

Cody Hackins: 6/10

He's a brat, but I think he's portrayed well as a child character. The moment he breaks is one of the first major mind-blowing twists in the series, so he's memorable to me.

Dee Vasquez: 7/10

I think the fact that she no-sells everything and refuses to react to anything is pretty funny. Don't "..." me! It also makes her a tough opponent to defeat and makes it satisfying when you finally corner her.

There's a reason Laguna has been getting one of my second hour saves!
