co-workers talked about being in prison, selling crack, and other things like that. i learned that was just life for a lot of people. that part was fun.

half of the managers were psychos, half were okay. i didn't understand enough about people and got in fights with the psycho managers.

i spent everything that i made on a PS2 and about 12-14 games that summer. During the school year I worked on Saturdays, but it cut into social life. Also the money kind of dried-up, maybe cause I started to be kind of jaded about it and less chipper so I quit in the middle of my senior year. i thought they would thank me or something when i quit, lol, they were just like "okay."

My job the next summer was even worse. Waiting tables at a real restaurant. Equally educational, still.

a few things: it's been known for a while that you can model 3d space as a 1-dimensional line. it's complicated so i wont go into it but it's definitely possible.

it's intuitive if you think about how you could build a ball of string or something, you see there is nothing stopping you.

it's also known that there is likely _the_ universal wave function of which everything is a part, so this seems to take inspiration from that.

maybe this model works, but maybe it works and is also incorrect. for example, you can correctly model the universe, to perfect precision, with earth at the center. in this model the sun revolved around the earth and the galaxy revolves around the sun/earth system. the problem isn't the math--the problem is that this is a dumb system. despite being technically viable, it makes no sense to model things this way.

my intuition says this strand theory is something similar.

but there really might be _very" thin "strands" of things connecting all matter, i think

i wouldn't dismiss this so quickly, it's fascinating.
