a few things: it's been known for a while that you can model 3d space as a 1-dimensional line. it's complicated so i wont go into it but it's definitely possible.

it's intuitive if you think about how you could build a ball of string or something, you see there is nothing stopping you.

it's also known that there is likely _the_ universal wave function of which everything is a part, so this seems to take inspiration from that.

maybe this model works, but maybe it works and is also incorrect. for example, you can correctly model the universe, to perfect precision, with earth at the center. in this model the sun revolved around the earth and the galaxy revolves around the sun/earth system. the problem isn't the math--the problem is that this is a dumb system. despite being technically viable, it makes no sense to model things this way.

my intuition says this strand theory is something similar.

but there really might be _very" thin "strands" of things connecting all matter, i think

more than that, we have evidence of flatbreads from 14,000 bc. something like naan.

but there are grindstones dating back 30,000 years...

this is all way before wheat is even domesticated.

so you'd collect a bunch of seeds and mash them up, like others said, once you start making oatmeal/paste type things, it's gonna dry out. might make a kind of protein bar. different grains gave different tastes. use salt, soda ash, and other things to cook and change the recipe.

it's likely making bread was a thing before humanity split off into more than 1 group. like making jewelry.

o i didnt know. probably cost a lot but thanks for the info.

honestly it's tacked-on at this point, it probably won't be too bad for windows 11. they'll push for 12 soon, and i plan on upgrading to 12 on this machine anyway so ill do probably get the pro edition provided it has the group policy editor, a feature i've never needed in 35 years of building and playing with PCs.

it does sound like a nice feature though, i could have used it on windows xp.

but the co-pilot "being able to find your shit" feature is stupid because it's a problem that microsoft is creating in the first place with their completely asinine default file structures. programs are installed all over the place, but that's a fucking choice they are forcing on developers. i don't blame game devs or anything--going with the standard is fine.

anyway people gave windows 8 shit but that could have been cool--provided microsoft actually let you easily customize that screen. which, of course, they didn't. I had 1000s of images on my PC. The image it always chose to display? Some random Sonic meme and some paint drawings. Couldn't change this, as far as I could tell.

they charge so much and they are so shitty. at least they are stable. very rarely get crashes these days.

well it's a little late for that now, i couldn't find a reason to get pro/enterprise 18 months ago but here we are.

we need some anti-trust bullshit on these operating systems. they have us completely by the balls with this shit.

but operating systems are infrastructure. there should be some protection ffs.

what in the fuck.

anyway, im trying to gut co-pilot from my system, but it's basically impossible. there is no group policy editor in home edition so I gotta download some 3rd party version if i wanna do it.

could start slicing away at the registry, but maybe it's fine :/

I really hate how they shove this shit down our throats. i just want a barebones operating system than can run older software too.

super mario all stars is not an emulated version of the lost levels, it's a re-coding using some of the original source (but changed physics and some stuff).

it's undoubtedly most english-speaking gamers first exposure to the game and it's not even an option. it was a major SNES release.

today's poll made but someone who obviously doesn't care. or maybe they lack experience.

nothing personal but sometimes just smh
