This is the most recent example I can think of. If a home intruder is taking a shower and you leave the house to get a gun, come back, and shoot them, you are a murderer.

It categorically does not. There have been many, many cases in which people drunk on the fantasy of "defending their home" have killed burglars that either posed no threat or were actively fleeing the house. The law does not magically end at your doorstep, and your home being broken into does not give you a license to be a psychopath.

Not saying what Israel did and is still doing is right. But all Hamas needed to do was NOT poke the ornery guys with a big stockpile of American weapons that was somehow being surprisingly patient with random rocket launches up to that point. All they needed to do was just continue launching the occasional rocket or two at civilian targets like they were while celebrating the act of doing so even as almost all of them got shot down by the Iron Dome. All they had to do was just keep doing what they were doing. But no, the guys in charge just had to order their people to go launch a terror/kidnapping raid and launch significantly more rockets than usual at the guys who outgun them harder than an anteater outguns an ant.

Israel has long since worn out its "angry justification" phase on the world stage, but I can at least see why they are so angry at them.

I do agree that movies have been generally sterilized and had their rough edges rounded down. I can't imagine movies like The Warriors or Road House being made today, both in style and substance. Sex is an important part of life and just as worthy of depiction as violence, although I do think it is inherently less visually interesting than violence.

Breaking Bad, but Breaking Bad is also made for me in particular. I would not fault anyone for choosing BCS over BB.

Kiwami 2 is easily the worst of the Yakuza games I've played (0, 3, and both Kiwamis). The combat is the shallowest in the series (that I've played), and the game actively looks worse than its predecessors and takes WAY more resources so that some lights can look slightly better. I have never played a more unstable game on PC, either. K2 crashed on me at least 200 times, and at least half of those were just from opening the game. It's not like the story is any good, either.

If it doesn't explain everything that our current models explain and also make falsifiable predictions then it is worthless
