I did that. I made sure it was efficient. I set it to 23:59, made sure to get into the game as fast as possible, cycled in and out of Goldenrod a few times in case I needed to trick the game into thinking I was actually playing. Only turned it off after it reached 01.
Should probably just watch one of those National Dex speedruns and follow it exactly.

And you saved before turning it off before the bold part each time? If so, no idea why it didn't work for you.

I tried the skip trick. It didn't work.
However I've been moving back and forth all over the place trying to catch different things. If there was a lock, it was probably already active.
I'm gonna go for other Pokemon in the meantime and when it's viable again, I'll try the trick on one of the 10 day wait Pokemon.

The one important thing about the Safari date skip. You need to wait until 00:01 before saving each time. Just doing 00:00 won't work.

Pretty sure that doesn't work. If your clock is changed at all, all time events are reset, and won't advance for 24 hours. And even then you'll have to wait until after midnight for things to advance

I've done it myself. That's why you shouldn't say you're "pretty sure" about it, when you're not sure at all. :p

However, based on the comments on the video, you need an original DS or DS Lite system or a modded 3DS that can play DS backups through the Twilight Menu++ homebrew (but at that point why not just use PkHex?) to do the trick. It doesn't seem to work when using a legit cartridge on a 3DS system.

Yep, the Johto Safari Zone is total bullshit in that regard. I don't know if there's any way to bypass the days other than waiting in real time If you know one and are using it, let me know so I can use it the next time I play HG/SS.

Change the time to 23:59. Open game. Wait until 00:01 (one minute after midnight). Save. Do that over and over until the Safari has advanced as far as you wanted.

I don't know about Extended. I just know the regular Revanced had a fix after a few days.

Gameplay has gotten considerably easier in many games including catching them.

And just when you thought they were all easy, they threw a curveball with that Giratina battle.
