Thats not been my experience at all. The salaried jobs Ive come across and worked almost always have you working unpaid hours.

Depends on where you live. Plan to die alone or for a very mundane retirement with 5k a month. Not enough to raise a family, especially in metropolitan areas with a higher COL. Forget about any travel or vacations that people typically do after retiring.

Is this actually true? Honest question. I can think of Kirby Star Allies and Mario Wonder, other than a few ports like Tropical Freeze and NSMBU. This seems quite outnumbered by the number of first party games that aren't 2D platformers.

The PS5 is a wasteland for games too, so Nintendo doesnt deserve any flak for it either. If game development only took like a few dozen people back in the day then maybe theyd deserve blame, but it doesnt anymore.

Nintendo only has a little over 7000 employees globally. It takes groups of many hundreds of people many years to make 1 AAA game nowadays. Now of course Nintendo games arent on that scale other than maybe requiring a ton of people for Zelda, but their output of total games makes sense all things considered.

Tbf Hi-Fi Rush took like 5 years to make and most likely wasn't very cheap. Despite its sale price it probably isn't the type of "small game" he's referring to.

That being said, the only award winning, cheap and small games are coming from small indie studios, not the studios that MS or Sony are in the market of purchasing and dismantling. So their game plan from the jump doesn't make sense. If they wanted small, award winning cheap games they should have bought Playdead Studios instead of Bethesda or Activision lol
