I like how Yusuke is the asshole with a heart of gold kind of protagonist. I think it's interesting that he chose to save the kid because he figured his life was shit and worthless in comparison.

Of course we then find out the kid would have lived anyway but it's the thought that counts

That's kinda what I'm criticizing. 2 could've have been a great opportunity to have Sora go up against some classic FF baddies but Nomura instead wanted to use his OCs. Most of the FF side of the crossover comes from spells and abilities and a few visual references.

I want the FF side to have more influence, but it feels like now even the Disney side of things kinda gets pushed back in favor of the Organization plot.

One thing that always creeped me out in Kingdom Hearts is they say their visiting worlds yet they're all a bunch of empty streets, hallways and corridors with ounce of life in them at all outside the one or three disney characters that are there for the movie reenactment.

The worst part is in 2 when Hercules is fighting monsters in the Colosseum and there's a crowd cheering but no one is there

I will say I hate how the Organization took over as the main baddies. I loved how the first game had the Disney Legion of Doom and how they were the main villains of the plot. Every game after 1 has the Disney baddies taking a back seat to the OC anime villains. I mean, if they want to have a group of anime esque villains, that's cool, but imo they should have had maybe a team up of FF villains. Keep to the theme of the Disney/FF crossover. The first game focuses on the Disney villains, and then 2 would have Sora fighting the FF guys. Can you imagine a team up between like Kefka, Sephiroth, Kuja, and Seymour?

I mean once Sora came back after the prologue in 2, they remember him again, so that shouldn't be an issue. More like Nomura doesn't want to have to even consider something like that in a series already this complex.

Watch her be a keyblade wielder in the second story arc as a retcon to explain why she didn't care that her son left for three years lol
