Thanks, that's good to know. I had assumed that it was just a "definitive" version that got you everything from both Red and Blue so I'm glad you saved me from that mistake.

The eShop in general seems to have a lot more NES and SNES games than the Wii U one. I thought pretty much all those that made it on to 3DS was also on Wii U, but I'll have to be careful to check between the two shops. And the prospect of getting a SNES Classic further complicates things as it has several items from my wish list. Of course it would be much easier if Nintendo would just GIVE US SWITCH VC

I would even pay $80 for a Switch cart with all the SNES classic games on it. Hell honestly id probably pay more than that

That's actually crazy to me but now that you say it I guess I haven't felt much animosity toward the Brewers these last several years. Obviously the Cardinals have been the better team since 2012 but it's still weird considering how many series that is. But I guess it does feel like we always win against the Brewers though

The Cardinals once again failed to reach .500 today and luckily I didn't even think to check when the game was on and didn't follow it at all. I always get scared when they're one game below .500 but so far they've done their job and lost every time that happens

I'd accept a Royals championship. Cubs is worst case scenario, Red Sox is a close second, and the Yankees I guess are the third worst but that wouldn't ruin my life at least like the top two. The only reason why a Royals win would suck would be because they'd have taken the Astros down and I'd like to see the Astros win it all. The rest would be completely fine

Nolan Arenado just did a little interview on MLB network and when they asked him about catching the Dodgers he said "I don't know, the Dodgers are probably gonna go 60-0 so we're just worried about ourselves." Gotta respect the honest perspective, he didn't even do the thing they usually do and say hey man, people are sleeping on us but we're good too. You just gotta admit that you're not gonna win 108 games so you're not gonna catch the Dodgers

They won so the non seller Cards are also now 8.5 back of the second wild card. Not that I'm rooting against the Rockies or even the Brewers, I'm just stating a fact. I'm rooting for the Cards to either win the world series or to be humiliated for the rest of the season and the latter seems a lot more plausible

The Dodgers got Darvish in case Kershaw isn't ready for the playoffs. Their rotation is already solid around an amazing team but they wanted more assurance and are still unlikely to win the world series

I get the sense that ownership plans to wait out the Cubs glory days which is whatever but they're also too scared to lose their sellouts to actually rebuild

Altuve has to go 3 for 3 or 4 for 5 today to hit .500 for July. Far from impossible but he really blew it the last couple of days.

Yeah I remember playing the first DS Mario game and thinking it was what Sonic should have been. At run speed it still feels like a super fast platformer but you feel more engaged because it's not just you zipping through. It's more like quick thinking platforming than just pure speed based platforming which is what Sonic is until you hit a wall.

No it's brand new. There's a lot more to it because it's a really interesting game from a storytelling POV but I don't want to spoil it for anyone who may play it some day.

Sonic's best games are overrated and his worst games are genuinely atrocious. Some games like Sonic Adventure are very bad but hold a special place in my heart as a former fan. As bad as the series is I'm glad it still exists to a degree because that Sonic Forces game looks absolutely hilarious. Sonic Mania looks fine I guess but it's pretty embarrassing how they're so bad at making these games that they've basically decided on remaking the old ones.

I've been playing Pyre on PS4 the last couple of days. It's from the guys who made Bastion and Transistor. It's on PC too. It's basically a tactical basketball RPG. It starts pretty slowly but I'm loving it so far. Switch needs to get sfuff like this because it could be the GOAT platform for indies.

It's annoying, but touch screens and mobile sites/apps have gotten a lot better lately. I don't think there's a better alternative at this point. Would you rather go back to blackberry trackball or something?

I've been seeing a lot of love for gyro stuff lately, oddly enough. Not sure if that could really be implemented effectively in the phone space though and you'd still need touch for the keyboard

Yeah but three of those teams have won it all in years that started with 2 so as long as you're sort of old it isn't that bad. The Marlins constantly tanking has to get tiresome though. The White Sox just seem inept. The Phillies are sort of interesting right now but extremely bad while the Braves are the team out of those four that seems to me to be getting close to a comeback. Being a Braves fan under 30 must have been crazy during their legendary run of postseason failures though
