| red13n 04/25/17 2:04:17 AM #9 | kateee posted... when i was in elementary school, wednesday was the best day if you were buying lunch from the school because that was McDonald's day. which meant that instead of rubber pizza or subpar chicken nuggets you got a half-decent patty between two buns with a single pickle and ketchup. everyone including me always took the pickle out. Went to public high school for freshmen year and we had these reheated cheeseburgers that looked suspiciously like McDonald's cheeseburgers, but they tasted like absolute garbage. I am pretty sure they were mcdonalds cheeseburgers just because they had that perfect uniform look, but something about how they heated them up just couldn't match the real thing. The food at that high school was all disgusting and I regret every moment I spent eating it(and every dollar spent buying it). Transferred to a private high school Sophomore year and the food there was absolutely fantastic. Hell one of the ladies in the cafeteria would make you custom burritos, they were amazing. Granted, I'm sure the food there was all entirely unhealthy, but it tasted pretty great(Granted, the food at the public school was just as unhealthy). --- "First thing that crosses my mind: I didn't get any GameFAQs Karma yesterday." I used to despise them but now I can eat them as long as its alone and not with anything(And only whatever the long kind of pickles are, the ones you see on like a McDonald's burger are still gross). And the texture of them makes them inedible on sandwiches or similar, I can only eat them on their own. My eternal food nemesis is green beans. Nothing makes my face go frowny more than when I'm at a restaurant and their vegetable for the day ends up as green beans. Or maybe I'm just older and I've turned into a filthy casual. Back as a teenager me and my friends really embraced the grind and hated all the changes made to make the game more appealing for new players, but I can't really argue with their vision now, the normalization has seemed to actually make the game more skill-based, because everyone has gear and it's only ability that will separate you from the pack... I assume. I haven't done any PvP yet, but I feel like I'm going to be severely outmatched when I jump back in, despite being Gladiator level when I initally quit. PvP is kind of dumbed down from where it was back then...but at the same time, literally gates your talents at max level, which makes no sense and makes it incredibly casual unfriendly at first. Also its kind of funny because Cata was far and away the worst expansion at max level but made the rest of WoW so much better for the long haul. Right now WoW is in a bit of a strange place. The content is mostly pretty great, but the handicap players are put at if they don't play the game at an insane rate makes the game very unfriendly to all but the most hardcore, despite looking incredibly casual friendly at a glance. At first it was a neat "oh nice im being rewarded for playing the game", and then it turned into "oh god i better run Maw of Souls another 20 times today". --- "First thing that crosses my mind: I didn't get any GameFAQs Karma yesterday."
