I barely played Fez...not really my speed (cool mechanic though), but I felt like a champion for a day with it. I was goofing around with the camera in the very first room on my friend's file, and somehow I did an exact combination of controller buttons you're supposed to do in that room to receive an anti-cube. I just did it randomly, and my friend had no awareness of them yet until then too.

We flipped. It was great.

Legal or not, this kind of story and video is gonna fuck United.

I guess my technique to avoid this -- assuming I already messed up by boarding the plane and hit my maximum offer for buying their tickets, but don't realize yet everyone can fly on the plane anyway -- is to wait it out with this offer and push the plane's patience to its limit. You can try to shorten this by having a single person come speak with people individually about taking the money and hotel room, instead of what I'm guessing they did of talking to every single person at once. Ask people what they're doing, why they need to go, if it's really something they have to do NOW over taking the money -- and absolutely accept no if they don't want to answer these questions.

Also, going forward: raise the amount of money you can offer to buy their tickets back...and if you MUST do this random-drawing BS, doctors going to work or training (not vacation) must always get a pass in this type of scenario. Just imagine the damages done to his patients if he can't do his job now, because of United.

Bombed ppl. Used bombs that cost money.

I think this deserves additional context. Donald's talked about knowing money, yet he's spending a lot of unnecessary money just from vacation-time he often railed against and his family's daily Secret Service treatment in NYC which costs us all tax-payer money. I also don't know how much people really trust his judgment in military actions, so in that way there's a heightened gambling spin here.

I don't think Democrats leveled this complaint against Obama, which is fair. It just stems from some other problems this President brings with him.

My great purchasing decision of 2011: Scambassador! Got the twenty games with the $80 cut, brand new. The 3DS allowed just the perfect window to do this right.

My awful purchasing decision of 2011: preordered Duke Nukem Forever on Steam. Turns out all I wanted was proof that it existed...game sucks though! Should have just bought the box several months later.

Let It Be VS Let It Be Naked

Is this a debate? Naked's order is nice with finishing on the title track, but otherwise I'm absolutely on-board with the original album's orchestration and concentration. I usually prefer clean production values over looser free-wheelin' for studio tracks (live is different), and that theory continues to win for me here.

Spector was right, just maybe concede on the order of songs.

The lull I complained about on Rubber Soul was criticized too harshly, and I really do enjoy some of its best songs here. The White Album's frustrating with how hit or miss it is to listen all the way through, though it's got an interesting tone change and some undeniable good songs. Please Please Me is a strong debut album, so I decided to switch them around.

So...I should admit (again) that my childhood self was wrong about the Beatles. They've got tons of great music, including some I knew I liked but didn't know they made. They come at ya from tons of angles and I just can't appreciate what it must have been like for them to release album after album so quickly back then OR imagine how highly they were regarded then if I'm listening to their music today and realizing they're better than most bands even today OR grasp what kind of influence they had that led to some of my favorite musicians. At least I can better understand now why it was important for my mom to visit the Dakota while she visited me in NYC, and how cool my dad must have been to introduce people to the band.

They're legit, and this has been a lot of fun to listen through.

So, from here, since my project's about over, here's where I'm going with it:

1) Rank Abbey Road with the rest of my first impressions to be "done" with the topic.

2) Reorder the albums based on where I think is more accurate for me now as a final ranking.

3) Order these album covers, as requested earlier.

4) Pick out my top ten Beatles songs.

...maybe something else suggested that I like, but that feels pretty conclusive so we'll see.

Abbey Road

Okay, here we are...last album I'm gonna cover and apparently the proper way to end their canon. Great finish! Here's another album that starts off super-strong. The second half dips if I'm focusing track-by-track, but listening straight through the album makes it blend together well. Solid stuff just about the entire way.

Swinging hard right out of the game with Come Together! Classic.

Maxine's Silver Hammer is a brand of Beatles-style I mostly haven't clicked with through-out this project. Rocky Raccoon was cool, maybe some other similar songs I'm forgetting...and I'm not fully sure how to define this category. Stories of obvious fiction? I dunno, but it's not my favorite stuff they do.

Octopus's Garden is silly enough to get away with this though.

I Want You (She's So Heavy) has such a great haunting sound in its...chorus? Bridge? Dunno the right term for this song, but whenever they go HEEEEEAAAAAVYYYYY or has the swirling wind -- those guitar licks crush it here.

Here Comes The Sun, finally, the reason for my name! It's a beautiful song. I used to call a hospital that had an 8-bit version of this as their please-hold music...that was nice.

Is Sun King like a quasi-sequel to Here Comes The Sun I never knew about? Sounds like George Harrison's got his imprint on it with the foreign language-lyrics.

I like how Polythene Pam and She Came In Through The Bathroom Window blend together. Same for Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End, but how many songs are they gonna sing about sleeping?! Golden Slumbers is alright, but it's no I'm Only Sleeping.

Still, nice way to finish the album and career for the Beatles. These felt like two fuller songs than five smaller songs. The End is fun by itself anyway though -- great drums! The album could have ended here. We're left with a few seconds of Her Majesty instead though, which I wish was a full song. Leave us longing for more, I see how it is.....

Regarding the warning to Syria: I guess I thought that was standard procedure, besides Donald maybe not giving ENOUGH time for a warning. My point of reference from memory is when Dubya first attacked Afghanistan; I thought he went on television like a day before the first attack and warned people to leave right away.

Am I wrong? I'm sure the context is all different too, just trying to make sense of this aspect.

It's not hard to get behind a female politician -- Elizabeth Warren's great and I like what I've seen from Nikki Halie -- but Hillary and Debbie brought a bunch of baggage that didn't sincerely reach out to appease Bernie's base almost at all.
