Hmm.....tough question.

I feel as though I need to mention some things about me first. I'm straightforward and I dislike beating around the bush. I am so with family and friends.

So in everyday life, in a casual and familial setting, I can be brutally honest. But my honesty does not contain the intention to destroy, hurt or hate. I simply state things for what they are. How ever they choose to interpret that is none of my business. However, that being said, I will not jump in to provide my input if I am not asked to.

At my work, I ensure that my paperwork and socialising with colleagues are prim and proper. I do not converse more than I need to; because that tends to lead to information being shared; unwittingly or not. I do not divulge information regarding clients or their data. I also do not gossip; because that just becomes poison.

While I do not lie to clients, I am pragmatic. So I steer my clients in the direction I want them to go. So I highlight pros to my proposition. I also inform them of the cons but it's basically one's delivery and ability to handle objections that hooks a client.

So, I'm mostly honest (blunt) and consciously make an effort to not lie.

But there are always exceptions; white lies for what I believe is the greater good comes to mind.

More on the FP&A side if things? I ask because i know financial analysts is an incredibly vague title and employers use it to mean glorified accountant at times

Hmm..In the company I work for, I do have portfolios of clients that may be individuals or small businesses. The gist is that we analyse their financial performance (which includes the payment flows of their clients because in this country, a company's financial success is always affected by their own clients and their ability to pay them), streamline processes to ensure that they are cost-effective. And formulate contingency measures for areas that aren't performing well or have financial irregularities.

My job requires a people-pleasing personality and sharp attention to details in data.

a drink means he owes at least a beej.

Lol, not at all guys. They're buying my time and attention. Nothing else is owed to them. Like today, had this dude buy me brunch and mimosas. Got a free meal and all I had to do was just sit there and bullshit with the guy.

Did you tell him immediately upon meeting up that you're straight, only using him to buy you food/drink and will only provide conversation?

FYI, nothing TC is posting is real

Lmfao, bro this is real

My sexuality doesn't matter and you don't have to be a certain way to use those apps. I feel bad for girls or guys you date bro. Obviously you have this mentality that people owe you something for buying them a drink or meal.

"Owing" is the wrong term.

You're right; you don't owe anyone anything. However, it's just manners and common courtesy at work here.

It's basically just the saying "One good turn deserves another".

People use those apps (primarily) to meet others who share the same interests, sexual orientation or to just find friends or someone with whom they might sincerely connect with.

You use that as a loophole to get what you want; (and apparently, it's not much. A meal and drinks......) and then leave them in the middle of nowhere. So to answer your original question, although it's not illegal to fool someone (not talking of blatant fraud or mispresentation), it just isn't right. It's not the right thing to do. And that basically says a lot about your character. That's all.

There's no classy way to out somebody as a cheater. Even when you're 100% in the right, you'll still come out looking like an ass. Just let your friends, family, etc, know how the relationship ended and, if you run into the guy, remind him that he's dating a cheater and a cheetah doesn't change her spots.

Don't steal her stuff, don't start a Facebook group pointing out she's a slut (which she might be), don't leave voicemails, don't put anything in writing, etc.

This.

When things end badly, the only thing you can do is mitigate damage and avoid doing things that make you appear bad; because that would just give her ammunition to shoot you with.

Just make a graceful exit. That's it.

But now that we're all grown up, I can easily say that I'm the one with whom he has the best affinity. We get along great and can carry on conversations for hours. My dad's an oldie kind of man so he likes to talk about history; mostly the War. He's also well-read and loves philosophy. And at the same time, he's still kiddish and loves games and is okay with joining watching movies that happen to be animated films. So yea, right now, I'm his favourite.

cause it's a popular punching bag on the internet, and prepare your butt, now some neckbeards will never leave you alone from this.

Pretty much this.

Religion is, first of all, very private and personal. It's not something that should openly be discussed or debated. And that's because plenty of times, topics like these are designed to call out believers (the devout, the falsely devoted, the extremists etc etc ) and non-believers alike to defend their stance.

Personally speaking, I do not feel the need to justify or defend my faith. In the end, when it's all said and done, it really matters not, what others think. As long I'm not hindered in my freedom to worship and am not hindering someone's freedom, then I'm all good.

True believers should not take offense in these things. Just like we are free to worship, people are free to think for themselves. People are allowed to have opinions; even if they are opposed to one's own. True faith does not need vindication or approvals externally. It does not need to win an argument or debate. True faith rests within.

Exactly this too. Though i don't mind debates, helps me understand my faith and just hardens it even more honestly.

Absolutely.

True faith does not exclude facts nor should it deny them. It's all about seeking common ground without malice and hatred; only respect.
