How different are the books from the games?

They are pretty close in tone for the most part. It varies. Witcher 1 is probably the closest in feel while 3 is closest in accurate representation of plot and characters.

The games are a sequel/alternate ending continuation from the books, though. So this will take place before them.

FF14s only multi-million number they've stated is over 5 million accounts, which is not the same thing, and WoW has well over 100 million accounts. Account numbers are pretty meaningless.

Yeah but some gameplay things were fixed and the actual FE3 part of it (as in, not Book 1) has a more interesting plot. You could probably have fun with FE3 if you can enjoy older, really early SNES games.

But there's really no reason to play it anymore because New Mystery exists and is really great.

Well FE1 is just really, really basic. It has very little tactical depth (and is just outright broken in some parts), a very basic plot, and characters that basically have no character (including a few where their ONLY line is their death line). FE2 is similar but also incredibly frustrating because of the differences it does have, along with even worse map design where a lot of early levels are literally just open fields with a couple trees dotted around (which sadly I hear the remake didn't fix).

I would only say they are worth playing as a curiosity personally

Thracia > Blazing Sword > Path of Radiance > Fates Conquest > Genealogy > New Mystery > Binding Blade > Sacred Stones > Radiant Dawn > Fates Birthright > Awakening > Fates Revelations > Mystery > Shadow Dragon > Dragon of Darkness > Gaiden

But I consider all of them from Revelations up to be good games. 'Great' maybe starts from New Mystery up.

Mostly taking into account gameplay and characters, the plots are very hit and miss regardless of game (Conquest's plot is absolute pants, for instance, but I still consider it one of the top 5 in the series)

Its arguably the best in the series.

Stellaris is actually a LOT easier than Paradox's other games. I wouldn't say it is much more difficult than Civ5 or 6, which is one of the easiest 4x games (if not THE easiest).

You will probably come extremely close to maxing all confidants out on a blind first run.

Its okay

+ or - opinion points some depending on how you feel about it being almost exactly the same as the games it copies instead of improving on them much (it does some, but not nearly as much as some people wanted).

Basically it feels like a game made in the early 2000s with all the good and bad that entails.

There's basically just Trails in the Sky and Trails of Cold Steel. There are a few more that we haven't gotten in English, but those are the main two.

Pro FE tip: Always assume a critical will happen if there is a crit chance. If your character cannot survive the crit, do not attack with them.

I really like Haru, but she absolutely is completely superfluous to the game because by the time her story arc gets anywhere the game is over and she doesn't really have anything meaningful to bring to the group during the endgame stuff (and by that I mean like, Makoto has the brains, Futaba the skills, Morgana the mystery, and Ryuji fills the role of the dumb 'everyman' to drive conversations). Yusuke and Ann also suffer from not contributing much, but both of them at least have had time to develop and do things prior to when the plot gets super serious.

She needed to be introduced FAR earlier so the writers could have more chances to do things with her. Instead she comes off as a filler character.

In general I think the #1 thing I want them to do away with in Persona 6 is the heavy staggering of party members. They should have had everyone introduced at the LATEST by the end of Kaneshiro's palace, imo.

Pretty sure Misty or Sailor Moon taught me about it. On the internet, when I was like 11.

Grinding is one of the worst things to come out of gaming and should be abolished in its entirely.

That said, most games people think require grinding don't actually require grinding (see: most RPGs), and if you think they do you're just a scrublord. Git gud.

The Evokers were used because they didn't awaken as Persona users naturally. Has nothing to do with reality or not, and P4 Arena showed that the P3 cast can use their Personas without Evokers if they needed to, it's just not how they're used to doing it so it's harder for them.

And yes Fuuka does have the ability to scan reality, but she can't use her Persona outside of the cognitive world. It's probably theoretically possible for them to do so, but they just don't really have the means or power to. Chidori's persona in 3 manifested itself in reality, for instance (albeit it was going berserk and killing her at the time, but still).

The P1 and P2 casts could use them in reality, so there's probably no real reason that the rest of them can't and its more of a mental block like the P3 cast having to use Evokers. But I don't believe there is ever an example of them doing so.

EDIT: Actually wait I'm sorta wrong, Fuuka scanned the TV world from reality and that's what Rise was surprised about.

So the P3 cast totally did figure out they can do it in reality too.

P1 and 2 definitely do exist in the same world and the P2 characters are referenced in P3 on TV etc.

It would vastly depend on the circumstances around it. I mean I guess if the news was just "hey aliens contacted the government but we don't have any pictures of them and we can't report anything other than that it happened yet, stay tuned for developments" I guess I'd be more cautiously excited than scared.

I played time management particularly poorly (spent a lot of time messing around with fishing and optional hang outs and stuff, plus I didn't max out Temperance as early as I could because I was unsure if I wanted to harem or pick just one waifu) and still managed to max out everyone but Iwai and Shinza

Not saying its 'super easy' to do with no guide or anything but its pretty undeniable that the game gives you the most leeway of all the games by far.
