An epic way to start an amazing DLC.

Fishing Hamlet
Never expected this to be the last area in the DLC but it was surprisingly awesome given how generic the name is.

So tomorrow's 2000 vs 1990 should be the first debatable match of this contest. I chose 2000 and am pretty confident about it. If 1990 wins it will be Super Mario Bros. 3 alone carrying all the weight and proving that individual games matter more than the entire roster. 1995 or 1997 will be a sure bet finalist then.

What's funny is that I'm intentionally not doing the confuse thing, and I still have more money than I could ever possibly want.

I am admittedly playing on Normal though, so if I were on Hard that would probably not be the case. (Assuming there is a much higher cost to resummon Personas, as there was in P3.)

When I didn't use the exploit I found myself constantly short on funds. I use Compendium fusion a lot so maybe that's why. The exploit is a very useful one. The exp one as well. I hope these two exploits never get patched. I can't even imagine grinding to Level 99 w/o the Reaper trick.

Holy **** the events after entering the present events was video game story telling at its absolute finest. I knew and suspected Goro of being the traitor all along like I mentioned in my previous post but, ****, The Phantom Thieves being a step ahead was something I did not see coming. Absolutely brilliant.

I don't care what anyone says, this is one of the greatest games I've ever played in my life and have lived up to the insane expectations that I've had for years after Persona 4 became a Top 4 game for me.

Entering the final Palace and it seems I'm locked out of the only Confidant I have yet to Max out i.e the Moon Arcana. ****that loser Mishima. I guess I have plan things out more so I can get everything in the game on New Game+.

Persona 5 > Nioh > The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild > Resident Evil 7 > Horizon: Zero Dawn

I have only played about 10 hours of Zelda and about 3 hours of Horizon though. About 80% done with Persona 5 but I plan to do a second playthrough right after.

Persona 5 looks like it will break into my Top 10 list and Nioh is already Top 50 at the very least. Two incredible games. RE7 is also another game I absolutely loved. A true revival for the Survival Horror genre. Amazing year already.

Can't wait to see how events unfold leading to the beginning of the game and what happens with Sae

Goro is my primary suspect as to who the imposter is so far, only because there are no other candidates for suspect and the game is going out of its way to camoflage and blend him in with the Phantom Thieves. Lets see I could be wrong but it looks unlikely at this point.

The ending is very emotional and I like the game a great deal better than ICO. That said, it has its share of problems especially with Trico's responsiveness and overall the design feeling a bit clunky. Some of the puzzles are well designed, some, not so much.

Shadow of the Colossus remains undisputed in terms of Team ICO's ventures. ICO was a bad game and this one is merely above average-good at the very best. SotC is the only amazing one out of the three. Sorry ICO and The Last Guardian fans.

Inb4 Gaming is an art. You don't get it. Etc etc.

Sent Areas rankings. Was able to do a couple of write-ups after all.

I've never bothered with the Chalice Dungeons so can't send a list for that. That is like the only thing I haven't done in a Souls/borne/Nioh game. Maybe I should do it next time I play Bloodborne again.

I also made some progress in The Ringed City today. While not as great as its predecessors, it already feels way better than Ashes. Hopefully I can beat it soon alongside Persona 5 in time for the Dark Souls III rankings.

Injustice 2 seems to be the only one to remotely hold my interest from that list. Still need to finish Trails SC so Trails the 3rd will be a little ways down the line.

The prosecutors really stopped being "evil" after Franziska anyway. I guess you could argue Blackquill is supposed to be evil, but in practical matters, he's among the fairest of the bunch.

Well the more I think about it, the more it is clear that it will never happen in future games as well. Ace Attorney is a light-hearted visual novel/adventure series despite being a courtroom/murder drama. Good prevailing over evil has always been a norm which is why we see things like Athena beating Simon and Nahyuta.

I realize the series will have to take a much darker theme if what I suggested happened and it wouldn't be Ace Attorney.

The next AA game should have an actual evil Prosecutor who ends up getting a guilty verdict in a case or two to make eventual victories feel more meaningful.

The seemingly evil Prosecutor at first who turns face in the final or penultimate case schtick is getting a little old. And I say that with great love for the series. The mainline ones that is. I have yet to play the Investigations games.
