i accept defeat, your argument is air tight, Halo had absolutely no influence on video games and did not popularize any concepts at all.

"I could list examples but since they don't exist I'll just go with sarcastic shitposting"

It's so hard arguing with people who are emotionally invested in a series. It's the first of its kind you played, the game you spent hours on as a kid so you just can't see it as being anything but groundbreaking. You don't realize how every single PC in the 90s had Doom installed, you don't realize people were making money playing quake before Halo "invented" LAN parties, you don't realize HL came out three years before Halo. I'm sure younger people view CoD the same way now. All Bungie did was take this to a platform most devs ignored. But they aren't even the first to do that, Goldeneye is remembered fondly despite being an average game for the same reasons.

League was actually one of the first popular MOBAs, not comparable to Halo which was just capitalizing on a a genre that had been popular for nearly a decade.

result it popularized these things for a mass audience in a way that no FPS had done before it because the majority of gamers didn't have access to those FPS before it.

Popularized it FOR YOU. How hard is this to grasp? Do you have any idea how popular games like Doom and Quake were in the 90s? You are not the general public, Bungie made Halo because the FPS genre had already been popularized. They just decided to move it to a platform most devs ignored.

halo popularized a ton of ideas that are ubiquitous today, like carrying two guns, regenerating health, grenades tied to a key/button instead of being something you have to equip, etc

Again, just because it's the first game YOU played with those does not mean it popularized anything. Did it ever occur to you guys that Halo used those mechanics because they had already been popularized?

Halo filled a market demand for FPS on consoles, that's it. Wasn't the first to do anything, wasn't the first popular game. Get over it.

Halo had absolutely no influence on most FPS games. I would love to know what CS, TF2, Quake, HL, Battlefield, etc took from Halo.

Your BMR and TDEE are specific numbers, not "I'm guessing 2000".

But yes you lose weight when you're consuming fewer calories than you are burning, regardless of what you're eating. The problem is your body is going to adapt to whatever diet and fitness plan you adopt. So if you're eating nutritionally sparse junk food and getting no exercise your body will actually start to burn a ton of muscle and lower your metabolism/BMR. You'll lose weight but still have a really high body fat percentage, "skinny fat".

In theory, they don't. But then they do.

The biggest problem is they attract a certain type of person who really just likes collecting shit and not playing an FPS game. Then the developer commits all their time to continuously adding more and more cosmetic content to keep that group playing, like you would see in an MMO. All while the problems in the game or concerns from the comp community go ignored.

This killed TF2 and it's currently happening in Overwatch. OW has had a garbage matchmaking system for 5 seasons now, quite a few bugs, a game mode that just can't be saved and a pro scene in crisis. All of which the devs are just completely oblivious to.

The states with the highest rates of gun-related crime are overwhelmingly red states with few restrictions on gun ownership. The lowest rates are found in New England, New York, New Jersey Hawaii and California.

Alway interesting to see LA brought up in these topics when it has one of the lowest crime rates in the country, but again repeat something enough and it becomes true. You have a higher chance of being killed in cities like Denver, Houston, Dallas, Omaha, Indianapolis... don't hear a lot about those cities in these topics do we? Maybe some of the confusion comes from the fact that California used to have high crime rates, decades ago. Then they started passing tougher gun laws, since 1993 gun crime has seen a 56%(!) drop.

tl;dr if you take the Republican stance on a political issue you should be aware that it's most likely bullshit based on some lobbyist campaign and not facts or reason.
