My mom actually went to TRU and picked up my gold cartridge for me before I got home from school so it was waiting for me in my room when I got home. Banjo Kazooie - Better than Mario 64 come at me

Half-Life - I don't think I had seen story telling within gameplay before this game so it always left an impression on me the first time I played it.

Duke Nukem 3D - I feel like this is the game that defined my childhood and was the pinnacle of when I actually enjoyed FPS games. As a result I'm a Duke fan for life no matter what he does.

Super Mario 64 - I actually didn't know N64 was even going to be a thing until I saw this game at my local Toysrus at the demo kiosk. I played about 10 minutes of Jolly Roger Bay and I knew this was the future of video games. I ended up buying an N64 along with this and Mortal Kombat Gold the day after christmas. Was surprised they even had them in stock!

Super Mario RPG - Mario...in an RPG? wtffffff. I played this at my neighbors house every day before I owned it. Eventually he kicked me out of his house because he realized I didn't care about him I was just using him to play SMRPG. lolz

For what it's worth after done with whole lanryu area I went north of hyrule castle and moved right then after I was done with that I started in the lower right and worked clockwise

of course this means I did the rito dungeon last which people say you should do first

which I kinda agree but I don't think it's such a massive gamechanger that you should go out of your way if you don't feel like

Earthbound - Rented from blockbuster several times in a row until I finished yeah I was one of those guys. The fact that every RPG after Earthbound didn't incorporate auto defeating weak enemies is the biggest failure of the video games industry.

Mortal Kombat 3 - I would go to the local roller skating rink just to play Mortal Kombat 3. Developed a love for Kabal and wrecked fools with him.

Yoshi's Island - Best looking SNES game IMHO. Also my favorite Mario game until Galaxy 2 came along.

Chrono Trigger - First played at one of my friends house. Subsequently bought his copy off of him a few years later. Got all the endings!

Secret of Evermore - Only game I ever recall buying on the box art alone

interesting to learn that there's currently 28 planets on Universe 7 with mortal life when you take away the planets that have been destroyed like Planet Vegeta. Somehow that's far less than I thought it would be!
