I'm in the "SkyrimPrefs.ini" file in the "My Games" folder and wondering what the command line is to cap fps to 60-- is it under [General], [Controls], etc.

If anyone has a couple of seconds to help a poor guy fix his Skyrim's "microstuttering" issue. Game is literally unplayable in its current state for me even though my PC runs nearly every other game on ultra. Every couple of seconds, the graphics consistently hiccup

YouTube either suggests:

- Turning VSync off (to 0 from 1), messing around with the Nvidia control panel
- Troubleshooting newbie hardware issues (for people who don't know how to plug their HDMI cords into their graphics cards, updating drivers, setting their monitor to 60hz, etc.)
- Mods (tried the unofficial patch one as well as Nexus mods, didn't work for me)

All I wanna do is play Skyrim. Christ. I've contacted Bethesda customer support AND Steam (lol) to no avail. Not sure why their Special Edition had to replace the original Skyrim on Steam, either.

*Cries*

Help me, PotD :(

Switching up your methods can help, as well as what you listen to.

If you usually write music and then come up with lyrics, try writing lyrics before you write music.

Start with a simple beat, riff, and slowly add tracks to it to see what you like. If you don't like something, ditch it. If you like it and/or fall in love with what you've written, play it over and over while you think about what you want to feel. Don't even think about an audience. Just play what makes you feel good.

In my experience, simplicity is golden while you add appropriate levels of complexity in the background. Simple usually makes it catchy, but if you utilize complexity in such a way that adds to the simplicity... well, here's one of my favorite examples:

Even if it's not up your alley, hopefully you get the point. And I hope I could help.

Worst comes to worst, you're in a slump and you take a break... then you come back to your music with a new idea and ready to rock out.

Cheers.

I fucking hate bad drivers

Like when you're on the freeway and you're getting off on an exit that is backed up and you wait in the backed up line only to have somebody pull up next to somebody in front of you and cut them off to bypass the entire line you have been waiting patiently in. Or assholes who won't let anybody merge on the freeway because they don't want anybody else in front of them, even though there is already a million people in front of them. Or douchebags who don't use their signals. Or fuckers that drive to fast and ride everybody's ass swerving in and out of lanes.

It's like these people don't give a fuck about anybody else. They think their time is more important than everybody else's. Not to mention the fact that they're putting people's lives at risk by not properly driving.

You know what? This doesn't even belong in this topic because it's not moderately annoying, it's fucking annoying as fuck.

@MICHALECOLE Almost got killed today from a rogue truck driver. I was on the bypass and passed him and I guess he took it as a personal challenge because that motherfucker charged 90 just to pass me up again. I was genuinely scared, but had to show him up and charged left at 95. In a satisfying cliche answer here, he got pulled over by a cop and my wife and I flipped him off as the cop was writing him a ticket on the side of the road because it ended up being a 20-30 minute standoff... we thought he was gonna run us over on the side of the road at one point.

We would have just ignored him and continued along the 70mph speed limit at ~77, but he decided to troll us at a flat ~70 whenever we stayed behind him, so whenever we passed him it turned into the same scary song and dance.

I agree with your assessment-- bad drivers are the worst.

You mean a ring wing rag doesn't understand anything about the Paris Accord and is spreading lies about it?

Truly, truly shocking.

You know, Erik, I care quite a lot about saving the environment. You seem to be under this impression that people who oppose the Paris deal automatically oppose our environmental well being. As a centrist, I try to take each account into perspective when I draw conclusions-- from both the left and right. I also take everything I read with a grain of salt.

From a project management perspective, another area that greatly interests me, I constantly ask myself what I/we can do better to utilize our resources. I NEVER came out and said "this is why the climate deal was bullshit" or anything even remotely close. I posted the article to let people draw their own conclusion and offered my own hint of speculation. Emphasis on my choice of words when I said "if," btw.

But whatever, blindly argue that everything the one side says is bullshit like you always do. I find it to be an extremely close minded approach. I think a lot of things about the republican agenda is loaded with bullshit, but if I blindly follow one side, I know I'll never discover truths.

Off topic, I find it ironic that you accuse religious people I'm personally an atheist of following something blindly when this is pretty much you on the political spectrum.

I wasn't an Obama fan, nor am I a Trump fan, but I thought this was a pretty good read. If the U.S. was really going to be paying $1 trillion every year for this shit, kinda makes you wonder what Obama's true intentions were if his administration found a loophole to dodge Senate approval AND didn't consider pouring the same funding into Research and Development (R&D) sectors.
