But here they're trying to bring in mystical shit but they don't have the budget for it. I like wire-fu, I really do, but we didn't even get wire-fu for the fight scenes (since I certainly wasn't expecting anything realistic or the caliber of the hallway fight) --- |

The fight scenes are getting sloppy and its clear that they didn't know what to do with madam gao and make it not seem obvious they're using quick cuts and stunt doubles to show an old decrepit woman of 80 years fighting or taking a punch. And it's not just that. The big climactic fight scene that was supposed to be the "New York" of the series, the battle of the chitauri from Avengers 1 good, is either in the dark or completely impossible to follow due to all the quick editing. I know they can't do a movie budget of millions due to the smaller size of the TV audience but... --- |

Never mind the terrifying nature of holding someone captive, there's the fact that she was cheating death, so quite frankly even if she was an angel (she wasn't) the point remains that death caught up with her eventually and that's that. God Tangled was so good. Mother Gothel is probably the most terrifying villain since Ursula. Maybe more considering I was a kid when Ursula first gave me nightmares in little mermaid, yet Mother Gothel was able to scare me as an adult. --- |
