Actually, yes. You can tell if somebody is really a liar or not because if they're accused of lying, they will very vehemently deny being a liar if they aren't one.

Like my third Koffing I encountered today was shiny! Only shiny I got though. And yeah, Koffings are definitely harder to hunt for whatever reason. Usually in 2 hours I can get like 150-180 encounters of a Pokemon, even in caves where it's more annoying. I only encountered like 90 Koffings in 2 hours today.

Shiny Slugma! Then I tried hunting for Koffings, which I'll need 3 of. For some reason the corner that worked for Torkoal, Diglett and Slugma just wasn't working for Koffings. in 50 minutes I encountered like.... 20 Koffings. =/

I finally figured out how to dexnav hunt in the Fiery Path. There's one corner where if you stand there and use the dexnav it will work almost 100% of the time, and seemingly doesn't work anywhere else.
Anyway because of that I got a shiny Torkoal and Diglett today. I'm only missing 14 Pokemon left to shiny hunt with dexnav. :0 I started shiny hunting in late August 2020, and since then I've found 584 different species shiny across various Gen 6, 7 and 8 games, with maybe about half of those with the dexnav in ORAS.

So I finally updated PLA past 1.0 to transfer Pokemon over to Sword. I had it on 1.0 for so long since horde hunting for shinies was so easy and so consistent, and my understanding is they fundamentally changed it in 1.1. But anyway I moved a bunch of shinies over to Sword, and it turns out that even though PLA doesn't display EVs, they still exist. So I need to get rid of all of the EVs on all of those Pokemon and retrain them. :|

I played it long enough to get a Meltan and Melmetal to transfer to Home and never touched it again.
